My hope is that it lasts at least one There is a running sound when the water runs in the tube. It's a compact size with a nice sound. Their provision of rocks is a nice touch. It has been a great purchase so far.

Honesty be told, every time I look at one-star reviews here, I second guess myself. It is really difficult for me to make decisions without the advice of counsel, and that can work against me at times. In many cases, I'll find a product with 70 percent or higher 5 star reviews, but one or two one star lists can make me wonder if I should buy any products on this site. I would have felt the same way about I didn't read the reviews and I didn't buy it, so that was the real difference. During a session on the website to create a wish list for my birthday, I came up with the brilliant idea of a fountain as the ideal decor piece for my room. Thus, when I saw the appearance of this one, I had my heart set on it! As I was doing other things, I didn't want to lose track of this item, so I added it to my list for later consideration. The long and short of it is, I was taken aback by how much I was surprised and scared when I opened the present on my birthday. It would hurt me so much if my family and I spent $20 on it and it didn't work, and when I saw all the one star reviews on Amazon, I felt even more panicked. It was easy to set up and turn on that day, and the first time I used it it worked like a charm. I found that the motor of the miniature fountain was louder than my ceiling fan after twenty minutes! As I was breaking down the box, I was so disheartened thinking I would never use the fountain, when lo and behold, out popped a small slip of white paper. I found a paper from the manufacturer, which explained that one has to first thoroughly clean the rocks provided, and the fountain must run with filtered water. I decided to give it a try, thinking that I had nothing to lose. In order to clean the rocks and the fountain itself, I took them out and cleaned them, and I boiled My fountain was reassembled after I let the water cool and the rocks dry, then poured in the water and put the rocks back in. Once I turned it on, I heard the motor whirring a bit before it went quiet. It amazed me that it worked so quickly and so well. However, it has already been a week since it worked and I'm waiting for the motor to work again! As far as I can tell, it has been pretty much ideal, and I just make sure to refill it every time I run out of purified water and I haven't had any issues. While I am not sure if this will work for everyone, and I realize this isn't the type of problem you usually face (instead of cracked plastic bases, dead led lights, and leaking) but it has solved one of the most common concerns--the leaking. I don't want the nosy people bothering me I am glad you are here! Please pardon the length of the review, but I hope you will find it to be helpful if you read it. I hope I was able to get the most out of my purchase. I have been in love with this fountain ever since the problem was corrected!.

After Christmas last year, I gave the Homedics fountain to my wife as a gift, so she opened it up and set it up a few days later. Directions are read by my wife. For an easy way to minimize mineral buildup in the fountain, she assembled it carefully, washed the stones, and used distilled water to fill it. Even though the little fountain is inexpensive and made of cheap materials, it actually looks pretty nice if you add some colorful stones and sea glass to it. The program worked perfectly for her and she liked it very much. It was very peaceful to listen to the sound of the water trickling and the pump. A few days ago (early February, which means that the fountain has been running for about five weeks), I walked into her office and heard only the sound of the pump. I asked her what had changed and she said that the noise had gradually become louder over a period of time. I decided to disassemble it and check for debris that may have got stuck in the pump since the water level was at its highest. An exploded view of the pump and instructions for disassembling it can be found in the user's manual. As a side note, I was disappointed not to find any obvious debris in the pump when it was disassembled and reassembled. Still, the noise was there when I cleaned it up, put it back together, and it's the same. It's past my Amazon return window, and I would have to pay $25 or more in shipping for it to be returned to Homedics, so I guess I can just write it off. The unit that would last longer than a few weeks would be worth double the price to me, but after reading all the reviews it seems most people are not satisfied, so buying it again doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

I arranged the rocks on each pedestal to create a nice sound, which can be adjusted according to the sounds. Please note
Occasionally, I'd grow a bamboo cutting from a cutting I had from my bamboo plant, so this was a nice.

Thus far, I have gotten a chance to try several fountains. The pump on this one is quiet, and the water itself is also quiet - it just creates a really nice atmosphere in After several weeks, I run it for 8 hours a day using only distilled water, and I clean it periodically, and the machine keeps running flawlessly. I've tried several fountains and not all of them work quite as well I'm impressed and happy with this one. Update for the past six months. It would not be possible for me to give this product less than six stars. quietly that I almost let it run dry last weekend *(I forgot to turn it off for three days. My car was as quiet as ever once it had been filled up again. The work you did impressed me beyond belief. We still clean and use only distilled water to clean it.
