Up and out of the bowl. It can't be used without the pedestal because it's not flat enough. The cord runs from the top of the pedestal all the way to the bottom.
The size of the circle is 20 inches in diameter. The trick to good water flow all around is to level it out and fill it with water. The higher the pump pushes it, the more water there is.
My fountain's included pump produces a lot of bubbles. It's high enough that I can't have the fountain inside the house due to the excessive splashing!
No, it's a tiny pump that doesn't even have a filter. However, a piece of coarse foam or aquarium filtration material can be wrapped around it easily. Just don't make it too thick because there isn't much room to work with.

UPDATE: I'd had it for a month and a day when it suddenly stopped working. This afternoon, it was chugging along nicely. I raked some leaves out of the way, drained the dirty water, and refilled the container, and. . . nothing. The pump is running, but it isn't actually pumping. Remember how I said it would last me through the summer and that I'd get a better one next year? Hah.
- br>br>ORIGINAL REVIEWbr>br>I wasn't expecting Buckingham Palace quality for $40, but good grief. To begin with, the seller's page specifies that it is made of resin: It is categorically not the case. It's made of low-cost plastic. As a result, things are as they are- o It's flimsy, light, and thin. br>br>It was obvious that the package had been opened. br>br>The assembly process was a pain in the neck. Parts didn't fit together correctly, and the pump housing instructions didn't appear to fit the parts as currently designed. Putting it together as directed risks damaging the pump, but there's no other option, and the whole thing when assembled is so light that it's very top-heavy when filled. The weight is heavy and the balance is shaky. br>br>Right now, it's happily gurgling away, but it's not even- Is the pump completely submerged, then? Who knows for sure? Because the cord is so short, you only have a few options for where to put it: It's currently located near the back door, close enough to the outlet to be extremely exciting if it turns over. If you don't want it smack in front of the house, you'll need a good outdoor extension cord. br>br>It isn't stated in the item description, but it is stated in the instructions. You'll also need to purchase a special cleaner, use distilled water, and disassemble it on a regular basis to perform maintenance and re-assemble it. re-seal and seal Painting the thing on a regular basis is a good idea, as is bringing it inside for the winter. What, like birds, do not require water in the winter? All of this will be a major pain due to the fact that it does not assemble easily or well. Overall, I wish I'd gone to the garden store, paid a little more, and hauled something heavy home in the back of the truck. This one isn't going to be worth the money or the time. I figure it'll last me until the end of the summer, after which I'll toss it out and start over next spring. I also wish I had read all of the negative reviews before purchasing it, but it had three stars overall, it looked cute, and I trusted the advertisement's claim that it was sturdy, so I bit. It's all about living and learning.
made a birdbath that appears to be wrought iron; Featuring a fun fountain This gurgling little birdbath and fountain is one of our favorites! It's also a big hit with the birds. Despite the fact that it is made of a light material, it has the appearance of a heavy antique wrought iron birdbath. It's portable, and the soft gurgling of water as it flows through the fountain adds to the ambience. br>Ours is right off the front porch, so we can relax on the porch while listening to the fountain gurgle. This is the most useless item I've ever bought! The directions are written in a clumsy manner. The pump would not fit unless I removed a piece of plastic. And after 3 hours of attempting to put it together, you can't even adjust the pump pressure without disassembling everything. There is never a level surface - Even if you obtain the base level, the other two trays are insufficiently secure - They sway back and forth due to the water's pressure - unlevel. I'd return it, but putting it together took three hours of my time. BUYING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!.
the package was well packed Although the instructions are in small print, they are fairly clear. The instructions are fairly straightforward until you reach a snag when it comes to installing the pump. It takes some time to align the base screws in the holes, but it's not impossible. It takes some maneuvering to get the pump in place where the copper pipe will fit and connect. It's best not to tighten the copper connecting pipe until the pump is seated properly beneath it. Tuck the thick pump wire in between the u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped u slot in the shape of a The pump is going to be more comfortable. It's just a matter of finding level ground so the water flow is consistent; otherwise, it's a lovely fountain at a great price; we like the soothing sound it makes, and the birds adore it.
I couldn't find the color I was looking for without spending a lot of money. The structure and weight of this birdbath are both good. The small top tier was removed, and the center supports were restacked. It's a breeze.
A good level platform, according to my friend, is required for proper operation. So I built a concrete foundation and poured it. The surface is perfectly flat and level. What my friend failed to mention is that the base is so flimsy that even with solid footing, it has trouble keeping it level. When the sun shines on the left side of the stand, it bends to the right, spilling water, according to another reviewer. So true. It has the potential to be fantastic with a more robust base and larger diameter stand. The image shows the steel base that I designed for it. It maintains a level surface. It performs admirably.
I ordered this Bird Bath/ Fountain on November 1st, 2018, and it arrived the next day, but when I put it together, I discovered that not one, but two parts were missing! I had to drive all over town to find replacements, and once I did, it worked OK, but not great. On December 22nd, it finally gave up the ghost, and no water was being pumped through; I tried to fix it but to no avail. The pump began to run, but it was ineffective. It was also never balanced; it leaned to one side the entire time, and I didn't want to call Amazon and have it outsourced to Bangladesh, where I'd have to ship it back, so I threw it away. Don't waste your time; instead, go to Home Depot or Lowes and purchase a high-quality Fountain.
Because of the negative reviews, I was hesitant to buy this fountain. I'm so glad I went ahead and purchased it. True, it needs to be level to function properly, but that was easily solved with a small hand shovel. It's beautiful to look at, and the birds love it.
