The answer to your question is I am not sure. I'm lucky enough to find it at Costco.
Each bag comes in its own package. By opening the outer bag, any hanging back is exposed to fresh air. They are activated by touching the hanging back on the ground. As soon as it starts collecting moisture, it starts evaporating. The use of two bags may be necessary for a closet that is particularly wet or very large.
Chemicals in water would you be okay with? When you flush old medications, do you flush the old ones out? Clearly, you're not supposed to handle anything else beyond the bare minimum!

I really like these hanging damp rids, they work really There are fragrance-free products that I recommend. Toxic is too strong a word for me to describe this one. It is preferred that you use unscented ones if you are allergic.

There are no truths in this statement, or at best, it is It is not 3 packs of hanging bags, it is 6 individual bags. I believe that the Amazon description of product features needs to be corrected or rectified. The most likely outcome is that I will return it. Upon inspection, they do an excellent job of capturing moisture and keeping it away from my clothes and other newly stored items in my closet. In addition to using them in my laundry closet, I use them in my linen closet, which has a dryer and washer, which means there is more moisture in that closet than in other closets. I think it depends somewhat on the weather and the season, but it usually takes two to three months for the liquid in the lower portion of the bag to completely fill up and the crystals in the upper portion to be gone. The hanging desiccant is the best invention I have ever discovered. I used to use the canister variation many years ago. A few days after being filled, the canister must be emptied. The whole thing is rather annoying. The only problem I have is that I hang these and the excess moisture collects After that, I throw it away and replace it. There's something magical about that! A couple points to note are that you really need the unscented version. I can't stand the smell of "Fresh Scent. " A worthy cause.
