Yes, you certainly can.
They're a deep brown, almost black color. They are seven years old. The length is 8 inches. I wouldn't recommend them because the material isn't porous and doesn't absorb scent well.
They do appear to be made of some sort of wood.

The scent lingers for a couple of days. I was concerned that my first shipment had been a dud, so I placed a second order. Exactly the same thing has happened in the past. It's absurd. I was going to give 0 stars, but I felt obligated to do so. Everyone who purchased this item should receive a refund from NEST.
The scent is wonderful. Although it is pricey, I still enjoy it. Refills were purchased, and smaller bottles were discovered, allowing me to distribute more throughout the house. Yum!.
The NEST diffuser was a letdown and unworthy of the money spent.
Another brand I purchased around the same time lasted only a month!.
I've got all eight sticks in nest oil. Every day, I added a new stick in the hopes of detecting a scent. It has no smell unless you're within 3" of it, and it's a complete waste of money.
They're not too expensive.
Not much different from the ones available on Amazon for a lower price. In some places, they were even frayed.
It's exactly what I've been looking for to rekindle my sense of smell.
