Buying another potpourri bag of "Old Candle" is not on my list. Having ordered a second bag after the first one did not contain enough product, I wanted to fill our basket with everything we would need. I got a different scent from the one I was expecting. I went for my first scent, which was described as being somewhat of a Thanksgiving arrangement, and it started off overwhelming. placed it in the garage for about a week, and then it was ready to be brought back into the bathroom once the volatile oils had dissipated. This "mulled cider" was added to the other, and I found that it was just the right amount. As well, this one did not seem as overwhelming at first. It's probably accurate to say that four cups equate to 200 grams of product. The aromas in these products shouldn't last forever, but they should certainly last through the winter months.
After about 3 days, the smell went away, and I already went out to buy sprays or oils to apply to I added a few pine cones to fill my bowl because it is a little pretty and has a lot of color. I knew in advance that I wasn't ordering a huge bag, so I wasn't too concerned about that part. As long as you have something pretty ready, then this would be good to use for potpourri, just make sure their spray is ready for.
Because of the brown colors, I decided to buy this because I wanted it to match my old strings on my inside windows. It smelled like a nasty chemical, but it was exactly what I wanted to string in my windows. I bought it because I wanted strings that matched my old ones. The lotus pods weren't what I wanted, and the brown curly things weren't what I expected. Instead, there are lots of tiny pine cones. I think the bag is way to expensive for what it contains and how small it is.
The smell is horrible, like very old moldy wood. In addition, it was very disappointing for the cost I paid for this. It smelled 100 times better than $5 bags of potpourri that I found at the dollar store.
My favorite part is that the fragrance is not too strong. I have now been using it for a few weeks. Despite still being very fragrant, it is still very tasty. This would be a purchase I would make.
As the seasons change and the house gets colder, my house seems stale and dingy. What a great way to make my house feel fresh!.
I can't help but feel this is overpriced, but I would still buy it again if I liked it this.
