In the picture, you can see that it is packaged in a plastic bag. If you are going to put it in an open bowl, you should try mesh/net bags as you suggested.
It is not cloves that I have seen. I love the smell of this. It is a tool I use all year round.

I love the smell of it, and the apple pieces were packaged very neatly in a separate part of the package, so they wouldn't get squashed. It's just so lovely to smell this! I also can smell the smell coming from the whole room (it's not overwhelming but strong enough to actually smell in the whole room), though not overpowering.
I got a completely different picture from what was shown on the screen. Most of the contents of my bag were wood shavings. There is no scent at all. The product I purchased was disappointing.
Although this product had several issues, it was priced fairly for the amount it contains, but the quality was surprisingly poor. Apple slices, as well as some of the other items, were damp. It is normal to find dried potpourri in furniture. If I had realized that the apple slices were shriveling, I would have been alarmed. Potpourri needs to be wrapped in the outer bag on its own, not mixed with the rest. Upon inspection of the damp apples after only a few days, I can see a faint discoloration (not sure if it is mold, mildew, or what) has formed. There is a very fake scent to it, and it doesn't last for It remained in a bowl in my hall for two days, and I could no longer smell it. The potpourri that I made looks prettier than similar cinnamon brooms that we buy at the grocery store for just a few bucks, but those smell so much more natural and last for several weeks and even.
It has been over 30 years that I have purchased potpourri from this company. In a glass bowl I display the gorgeous scents that come along with the package. It is not uncommon for me to wrap and store the faux fruit or nuts for the next fall to decorate. It is perfect in terms of scent.
I love the smell of this product during the fall season. This is the one thing I buy.
Smells sounded wonderful if they were named after them. As a customer, I was unsure if it smelled good because there is no way to smell it before purchasing. I loved the scent so much, oh my goodness. There may be a hint of apple in the orange and cinnamon flavors. My mouth watered as I smelled the delicious scent. The outcome was better than I had hoped for. A second one will be ordered.
However, it is not nearly as strongly scented as when I bought it previously. It's a bag of assorted elements as you would expect as you can see. I'm not sure what thickness means.
I use it in my potpourri tray, and it looks beautiful. Having experienced such a great scent in such an attractive package has been very rare for me. The product is excellent and I will purchase it again.
