I'm not sure if it is waterproof because it is washable. Even after washing it two or three times, it looks like it's new. We have had it for a few months now. Not a single stain to be seen.

There have been several times when we have washed and dried our slip covers. The clothes are taken out from the dryer as soon as possible after they get overheated It does not harm them, but does make them staticky when they are dried.

My third purchase came from three different companies and this one proves to be the simplest and most effective. As well as having a much longer arm cover than the other two, it has a seam on the bottom of the back, which helps it stay put, and it comes with foam strips on the sides to help it stay in place. The material - According to that metric, it is almost as good as the others. With this one there is attached elastic in the back that helps keep up the back, but it's a little loose and not adjustable. Since I already lost an elastic part from one of the others, and I have the third on my desk, I like the fact that it's attached. As far as I'm concerned, having it attached is the better choice than other adjustable options. When I find something I like, it is discontinued, so I will be ordering more of this one. Anyway, better order soon, because whenever I find something I like, it is.
