The item was literally crammed into a cardboard box that was too small for it and had been perforated at the corners. Because the item was so tightly wedged inside the box, the only way to safely remove it was to cut the box in half. The rustic storage unit consists of: br>br> The back of the chair is held in place by 8-inch thick wooden slats. When I removed the box from the box, all but two of the ten tiny black screws had come loose during shipping and had fallen to the floor. When attempting to reassemble the unit, the remaining two screws became loose. To keep them from falling out again, I'll have to use epoxy. Apart from that, this item is far more appealing in person than it appears in the photos. It's big enough to hold mittens, hats, gloves, mail, newspapers, magazines, small potted plants, herbs, succulents, and whatever else you want to put in it. The hooks are strong enough to hold medium-weight coats in place without bending. I bought it for my entryway, and I think it'll look great (once my husband has the chance to hang it up).
Update. The vendor responded quickly after I contacted them. They quickly sent a replacement after I submitted photos. I would buy from this seller again without hesitation. I've become a fan of theirs. br>br>The box appeared to be in good condition, and I couldn't bend the top rail back into shape (despite its strength), so I believe it was bent before shipping. The word "sturdiness" is a misnomer because the problem does not feel sturdy, but rather cocky. eyed. br>br>Aside from that, I'm happy with it. Hopefully, the vendor will correct the situation. If they do, I'll make a change to the rating.
" I was under the impression that the pockets were "see through. " It's just a cheap veneer that's been painted white; there's no reason to think you can stain it. Nope. The stain dries a lot lighter than it should and doesn't absorb as well as it should. We'll replace it before hanging it because my husband is handy and I'm a DIY'er. Overall, it's attractive and will be useful for hanging coats at the front door while maintaining a farmhouse aesthetic. It has a lot of weight to it. This seller's shipping was quick, but the delivery guy may have sat on the box and done a couple of flips like a circus monkey. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
It holds a lot of stuff and allows all three of my children to be self-sufficient and organized. Each of the top bins contains about three hats, a scarf, and several pairs of mittens/gloves. Each child has enough hooks to hang their bag as well as a few coats/hoodies.
This is fantastic! It's large and can hold a lot of items, such as mail, gloves, and hats, and the hooks are strong enough to hang things on.
Love it!.
It's a little smaller than I expected, but that's because I didn't double-check the measurements. Regardless, I'm keeping it. It has a fantastic appearance.
