I bought this item to use as a magnetic board, and I collect magnets from different locations whenever I travel. These magnets are held and displayed on this board. I already had three magnet-filled boards and needed a fourth. I like the way it looks as well as how sturdy it is.
It is of excellent quality and I would buy it again.
CHALK isn't compatible with this product. Even though I ordered two, I am unable to obtain a refund. Unsatisfactory.
The wood stain (yes, wood) is a little dark, but it's exactly what I'm looking for. It comes with twine for hanging and can be used on either side. On the side of my refrigerator, I used command Velcro-like strips. The black is picky about the cloths I use to wipe it down. Until I switched to a microfiber cleaning cloth, it left lint every time. It's of excellent craftsmanship. Love it!.
The frame was beautiful and sturdy, but the main chalkboard was not. There were several dents, and it appeared that the chalk portion had been adhered to another flat surface, and a line/bubble had formed down the middle, or that it had not been adhered properly. I was let down.
I love the look, feel, and the fact that it is magnetic on the chalkboard side. This is where the chalkboard pencils come in handy!.
I needed something to help me organize my days, and I knew I needed a whiteboard. br>br>Things I like:br>The wood frame has a nice look to it. br>I was going to hang it on the wall in my living room, so I wanted something that looked nice. br>br> It has a more appealing appearance than standard whiteboards. br>Writing on and cleaning off the chalkboard and white board is a breeze. br>It's a fantastic size. br>It came without the screws attached, at least in my case, so I could choose where I wanted to put them. br>Because it is nonporous, chalk markers can be used on it. br>Large enough for me to plan out a week's worth of tasks with ease. Things I don't like:br>The string they give you has a lot of stretch, which makes the string that hangs it very visible, which I don't like. br>Because flipping it from one side to the other isn't as easy as I thought it would be, I don't use both sides as much as I thought I would. Even though the screws are small, it was very easy for me to splinter the wood while installing them. br>I needed a magnetic board so I could write on it with ease. Because the only magnetic side is the chalkboard side, and my board is mostly whiteboard side, getting this is a bit pointless for me. Overall, I like it, but I think I should have just bought a regular whiteboard instead, because it doesn't have the huge string at the top and I don't switch between chalk and whiteboard as often as I thought I would.
I was on the lookout for a nice chalkboard to use for my daughter's birthday parties over the years. So far, everything has been fantastic! It washed away easily and appears to be very long-lasting. Maybe next year I'll do an update. Even though it's been 5 months, I still don't want to delete it because it's so lovely.
