Our mother died just before we got here. Due to a lot of untrue and hurtful information, my older sister and I became very upset. Years went by without us speaking to each other because of those things. Rather than look back on what we'd thought we knew about each other, we decided to start over from scratch. As our mom would have been there for us, but was unable to be, I told her that I wanted to be there now. She is also that for me, so I hoped she would be that for me. She received this sculpture as a way for me to show her how much I care about her, but also as a way of showing how I want us to be together. Holding on to each other as two sisters walk together. This piece looks amazing, and I'm pleased with how it came out. Near the point of branding at the bottom of the figure, I noticed that it has a 'Made in China' sticker. It was very meaningful to her to have this statue, since I have helped her through many things as well.
