Anguishing the agony of grief is a true gift when it can ease even for a moment. We lost our beloved Old English Bulldog Harley recently, and it's been a terrible blow to our family. Harley was my heart for fourteen years, and now I, my husband, and our other dog Elvis are each trying to adjust to the loss of Harley. After his death, I found here on Amazon the right Urn, a lovely stone marker, and a few other items, the kind you know you will have to buy someday but are glad to find that there are offerings to comfort your grief and honor your This piece was meant to be next to the Urn, as soon as I saw it There is a gentle reminder of the connection between human beings and animals and of the enduring, pure, unconditional love that has existed between them for thousands of years. We who have lived with a four legged companion and who have shown the pain of losing them understand the joy of sharing our lives with them, but also understand the deep grief that comes with their loss. It is a cost we must inevitably Having had an instant connection, I knew it was love at first sight for me, I think all art has a deeply personal meaning that will be different for everyone but for me, it is an Urn angel, a lovely expression of devotion and an immediate source of comfort. Designed with great attention to detail and of exceptional quality, it's a great buy. In addition to the box, a foam encasement surrounds the piece. Both cards describe the piece, the Willow Tree line, and the artist. This is a great gift for a friend or family member, but it's equally wonderful as a gift to yourself, as well. In a nutshell, In a nutshell,.
It came in excellent condition after I bought it used. I bought this for my husband as a "from the dog" Father's Day present. The following is a funny While it is true I tossed together a last-minute present for him, I couldn't let him be the only male without a present at the Father's Day family dinner. I bought him this as a Christmas present. My first reaction when it was delivered was to open it quickly to make sure there were no damages. I put it back into the box and placed it in another As I pictured my husband as the dog's caretaker, the one towards whom all treats and pets will flow, I thought of my husband as his angelic father. As I said, this was a last-minute thing, and I did not see, or read, any paperwork that came in the box. After everyone had opened their gifts my husband said, "I hope the angel of comfort brings you comfort during this difficult time. "? I realized what the Willow Tree figurine represents as I stared at it. I am extremely grateful to the seller for providing this good laugh by not only sending the used angel, but also ensuring that all the paperwork was included with it. I now have this figurine in my dining room - it sits comfortably on the build-in shelf.
In the recent past, I had to say good-bye to my 15-year-old. The Labrador Shepherd mix is 5 years old. I consider you to be my best friend. It would be nice to have a little section of my dog's picture on top of our white fireplace to serve as a nice reminder, and or memorial. At first, I bought a huge statue type of thing of a Labrador with a lot of nice words on it saying things like "never be forgotten" and so forth. I returned it since it was a huge memorial to my dog, and I didn't want to have such an overwhelming reminder of her passing. It was sheer luck that I stumbled upon this hand painted sculpted angel by Willow Tree, Angel of Comfort. With its combination of art and comfort, I wanted to ensure wherever my dog went, he would remain safe and well. While the part about being safe and okay may be wishful thinking, no matter how you look at it, this piece is heartwarming and very nice. However, I would have liked it to have been maybe another inch taller as it seems to be only 3 inches high. Actually, the small size does have its advantages if you want to make a piece that manages to distinguish yourself from your best friend but issuably not so overpowering that it is distracting. My only negative comment would be. . It seems that way to me at least. A Chinese product like this was made. There's nothing wrong with THIS piece, and it seems to be of good quality. I'd rather pay another $3-$4 for a better looking piece. If more of these kinds of things could be made here in the United States, it would save the nation money. Anyway, that's another subject. Overall, this is a lovely way to always have a heartwarming and beautiful little reminder of your pet if he or she has passed on.
It is always my goal to paint these so that they accurately depict the person or pet The one in the picture is one I gave to my neighbor who had a black and gray I painted it that way because I thought it would look better! I occasionally scrape off paint that gets on the white parts with a tool after it gets on the white parts. Even if there are any scrape marks, they blend with the rustic style of the piece.
I love you! This was delivered to my friend after her dog died a couple of days ago. Upon hearing this, she cried as it was the sweetest and nicest thing anyone had ever done for her. The last thing someone needs during a time of grief is a reminder every day to break a few minutes into their heart. The jewelry is of high quality and will be cherished for a long time.
Willow Tree has been a gift I have purchased many times. I thought this one (Angel of comfort) was especially touching. This is one of the reasons why I am a fan of "Willow Tree" pieces. Not only are they not hollow, but the craftsmanship is also quite good. As a matter of fact, this is the second time I have bought this piece because it will go on my son's grave, but the last piece was stolen from the cemetery while I was out. can be seen in the fact that this piece stayed vibrant and textured regardless of rain, hot sun, or other weather conditions. I never noticed rust on the wings since the weight never washed away. The piece remained as I had bought it when I first got.
It would be a great gift to any friend or client who has lost a beloved pet. Their quality is excellent and their meaning is profound. There is something so simple and delicate about them that I really enjoy. A great job was done on the packaging. I have ordered a dozen of these over the last couple of years and I highly recommend them- In every case, the recipient tears up.
These types of angels are my favorite. As a child, my mom read me "Littlest Angel" from the children's book she gave me as a gift. Once again, I gave myself one years ago and bought one that was shaped like the angel from the kids' book. I love this picture and the dog looks like a pug - it's so cute It's almost over. It broke my heart to lose my Daffy who was always by my side. My patio chair next to the table where we used to hang out makes me feel less sad now that I have it there. I'd have no problem giving one of these to anyone I know who loves dogs. I thought the box was very nice too, so I'd give it to any dog lover.
