There is a lot of care put into packing these tea cup holders. This might not seem like it is important for a plastic product, The holder and your tea cup will be on display, so make sure the holder doesn't get yellowed or scratched, which would be an insult to the bone china. The only thing you want to see when looking at your display is your china, Plastic is actually so transparent that you can't see it, and this is exactly why these are a five star item.
For displaying the cups and saucers I have in my bone china collection, these stands are perfect. It doesn't take away from the beauty of the china that they are sturdy and made of clear plastic.
