The grooves are about a quarter of an inch wide. You'll have to measure one because I don't have a casino chip. Yes, I believe is the answer.
It is capable of handling a wide range of coins. I have a few odd-shaped military coins, and it does a good job of holding them. The coin holder is exactly what I was looking for.
The coins with the thick plastic covers will not fit. I have a variety of coins in various sizes, and all of them fit, with the exception of one that had a cover on it. I hope this information is useful.

We needed a way to show off H's achievements, so we came up with this. The medals were intended to be worn around the neck like race medals, but we simply removed the medals from the neck ribbon and inserted them into the slots. This was a much more attractive way to display their medals than a bunch of ribboned medals hung on a wall hook.
Challenge coins are being sought at a stand. Most coins can be held in the grooves because they are deep enough. at the very least, the ones I've got-- on a regular basis br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: I keep about 15 challenge coins in this holder, ranging in size from a medium-sized coin to a coin the size of a quarter. a medal the size of a quarter to a "coin" shaped like a bottle opener.
Typically, when you receive challenge coins, you are unaware that you have amassed a collection until you discover it. I used to carry a few around with me, but they became cumbersome after a while. I try to keep one on me at all times because the holder is attractive and well-made, in my opinion. Because some of the new coins are more detailed than the old ones, I have one coin that does not fit properly but still fits. I've also discovered that one of my coins has made its way to the safe hiding spot, so I'm looking for it. It's a good holder that can hold a lot of coins, and I think it'll last a long time.
This is nice for a desktop display, but it can't hold a lot of coins. I assumed this would be enough for my collection, but I had no idea how many coins I had. Still, as a display, it's excellent, well-made, and a great product at a great price, and its small footprint may be ideal for collectors who haven't gone crazy collecting dozens and dozens of challenge coins! For collectors with a 12-piece collection, this is a great option. 18 coins.
This was purchased for my husband to use as a coin display in his office. It does the job, but in the photo it appears much larger. Maybe he could have fit more if all of my husband's coins were the same size and shape. However, this is preferable to having them all stacked flat on a shelf. In the future, I will undoubtedly invest in something larger, but for now, this will suffice.
It's slightly slanted rather than flat, which is fantastic. I'd been thinking about getting one for a while, and the price was right to give it a try. I liked it so much that I ordered a second one soon after receiving the first.
For any type of challenge coin, this is a nice display rack. Coins sealed in plastic covers will not be accepted.
Only 4 stars because modern military challenge coins are ridiculously large. Some of them are difficult to fit. Some won't fit in the groves at all, while others will if you mash them in. Carrying some of these items in your pocket would be a real challenge. You wouldn't be able to get through airport security with some of them! br>br>This should suffice for a small collection of coins of reasonable size.
