Kate and Laurel Lipton Decorative Tray with Polished Metal Handles, Black and Silver

I love this tray! It looks great! This is the perfect color and size for me. The tray is attractive, so I thought I would put my coffee maker on it to catch condensation and keep it clean. The occasional mishap that occurs during the brewing process when everything does not line up correctly. However, the tray arrived damaged, with chipped handles and very poor packaging-wrapped in a clear plastic bag inside a large packing box with no protection other than a thin sheet of brown paper. Bubble wrap or a second box would have been a better option. If it were a serving tray, it is likely to be fragile and so wouldn't stand up to real use. There's a lot of room for it to chip. It is very unfortunate that the seller did not package the items correctly - I cannot recommend these items for gifts or purchase due to packaging problems. If the seller would like to comment or correct this review, I would be happy to do so.

The return policy was hidden from me when I bought it. There was an opportunity to use a prop continuously for pictures, but I had to scrap that idea due to the poor quality. Images of the product depict a very sleek tray, but when you see it in person it looks more rustic. When you pick it up, the handles wobble, I guess that's why they only consider it "decorative. " I'd give it zero stars for how damn expensive it is, but yea, give it a star for a design you couldn't.

I decided to keep it even though there were many chips in it when it arrived. The tray was black and there were white chips on it. There was disappointment in my heart. colored the chips in with a black marker, so the chips aren't noticeable, but I was disappointed with how many chips it had when I received it.

The fact that I didn't see that it was made of MDF is certainly my fault. My return to the United States is strongly considered.

This is a beautiful tray of modern design. It has a great square design and gold handles that make it appear expensive. Had I been able to give it six stars I would have, but I had to deduct one because there were some scratches on the handles (see pictures I included) but other than that it is a great tray.

Myself or anyone else I care about would NOT purchase another. The odor of this tray is horrible, like a musty stink. There was an unpleasant smell in the box and inside the packaging, and the tray was rancid. I tried leaving it on its own overnight and rubbing peppermint oil at the bottom, but that didn't work either! As soon as I stepped onto the patio, I smelled it! My daughter had used it on a patio covered with a roof that she had for a long time, so she was ok with it. A week later, I visited her home, and there it was! The look of it appeals to my daughter, so she is hopeful that the odor will dissipate over time.
I am on the other hand disappointed! There was a $44 charge here. There is a stench in the air! This is the last one I will ever buy! Even though it smelled, her face liked the way it looked. I would have preferred to return it. Those who are thinking of purchasing this tray should continue thinking hard instead of wasting their money!.
