The bowl needs to be filled with sand or salt before you place the burning sage in it, as the bowl will eventually become so hot it will overheat.
As for my charcole, I burn things such as sage in it , and I place sand at the bottom to absorb some of the heat.
Well, I have no clue but if you wash it well, I don't see why it might not work

Don't neglect the safety of your family. It is not a good seller to order from. I was very pleased with the actual item, but it turned out to be bigger than I expected and looked slightly different, so I returned it immediately via UPS. It was then that the problem After I returned the item, the seller allegedly disputed it and charged me again. I would like to repeat myself twice more. Having to use Amazon talk again just a few months after my original purchase was not pleasant The money was charged again yesterday for the third time, so I'm trying again to get it back.
This is disappointing because the bowl in the product photo is gorgeous, and I would have been happy to get this bowl in a pink one You can go with the same shade as shown here or with beige as some reviewers suggested (basically any lighter color). I don't think so. The almost black bowl with lighter spots - not so. When I placed my order, I was not expecting what I received. Because of the price, returning this item isn't worth the hassle. It will therefore be donated.
As a result of me burning my palo Santo on top of it, it stood up to my test of a full on fire. Only a small amount of heat was generated on the outside, while the interior held up to the flame (it charred). The color of the stone is a beautiful burled gray. Thanks for posting this. I was looking for something like this.

It is a beautiful bowl that has been hand carved. Throughout the piece, you can see the time and love that we've put into it. Our effects are quite imperfect, which makes me like them more because it shows that it is unique. The flower bowl makes a wonderful display piece or it could serve as a beautiful altar bowl, smudging bowl, or offering bowl!.
This is my first experience with this site and I'm really It's nice to have a bowl that's grey and sand colored. I really like how smooth it feels and how beautiful the carvings are. This will be perfect for scrying, and I can assure you that I will be able to use it. The color that I was expecting had flecks on the inside, and I did not regret this purchase. The craftsmanship is superb and the feel of the product is very strong.
Color is the only thing that's not right. You can see the color in the product item's online image, it's a SOLID LIGHT BEIGE. If this is the case, then the bowl is predominantly BLACK and there are some lighter specks, so that the design cannot be seen on the outside. Ads that are false from start to finish. Even though I included a note with my purchase to Amazon, they did not check to ensure the color was the light beige. Thus, requiring a return and refund created more work and no pay for Amazon. I gave Amazon a BAD BAD BAD review.
A person who took great care with their carvings obviously took the time and effort to make it. It is nice and thick, feels sturdy, and definitely looks handmade. For its size, I would say it is a decent chunk of metal, and I feel it will last for a very very long time. And it's a much nicer size (for me) than those tiny 3 1/2" smudge/scrying bowls. am happy to recommend this item, and I am grateful to the artisan who created it.
