Pros:
- Setup is simple and straightforward.
- Temperatures from multiple remote units located anywhere within a 2-mile radius can be read. Apartment with one bedroom. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- In terms of humidity readings (which is what I needed), they are completely useless. They don't work in any way.
- Temperatures appear to be off by as much as 5 degrees Fahrenheit (in comparison to more pro- readings from a device)
- Unless you tilt the screen downward, you can barely see anything on the screen. br>br>Summary: It's "fine" for capturing VERY ROUGH temperature data, but the humidity readings were what I really needed. which are completely ineffective. Nothing is done by them. I put it in a extremely dry environment for a couple of days and it reads 20% humidity. I put it in a very wet environment for a couple of days (with 80% humidity) and it still just reads 20% humidity. This isn't limited to a single remote device; it affects all of them. Even the main unit is only going to change by one. Humidity is down by 2%. It could be raining and it will say 20% humidity. I even put it in a steamy bathroom and yep, 20% humidity was 20% present. Useless. It's on the verge of being deceptive. Unless every single one of my units is defective? But I have my doubts. br>br>Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you're looking for a quick and dirty way to get temperature readings.

As soon as I saw it had three remotes, I knew I had to get it. Now I can see the outside temperature, as well as the temperature in my greenhouse and garage. Of course, with so many readings, there isn't enough room to display other data such as highs and lows; the only thing I miss about my old thermometer is being able to see how cold it got in the greenhouse overnight, but that depends on your needs. Instead of switching between screens, I liked the idea of having all of the temperatures displayed on one screen. I'm thinking of going with just two remotes on my next one because I can get all the information I need on one screen and I don't need to know the garage temperature. I was just too excited when I saw the three remotes and had to buy it.

When one of the sensors failed to connect wirelessly to the base, I had to have it replaced. After about a month, I'm having a similar issue with one of the sensors losing its connection. When I use them to monitor temperature in my dog kennels, the parts that are working do an excellent job and put my mind at ease.

The system's inability to maintain contact with the remote sensors irritates me. I've tried three different battery packs, but the problem persists.

I've had this for a few years and it's rare that all three sensors work at the same time; changing batteries does not solve the problem, and checking batteries indicates that they're still good. Nothing I've tried will get all three locations to work, and it's a crapshoot as to which ones will work at any given time. Otherwise, it's very readable.

Only one had a different humidity level than the others in the same location. On the remotes, I couldn't figure out how to change the f/c. However, the main unit allows for easy changes, which is what I keep an eye on.
