Questions & Answers

Is the reset button used to clear the screen or to return to the last time it was used? Example: I set the timer to 1m30s and pressed the reset button with 45 seconds left. Is it now "0" or "1:"? 30" ?

When you press the reset button, the time is reset to zero. But first, you must press the stop button. However, if you set the timer for 5 minutes and it beeps when the timer expires, if you press the stop button without resetting the timer, the timer will remain set at 5 minutes. It comes in handy when you need to add another 5 minutes to your timer.

I'm looking for a timer/stopwatch that doesn't make a beeping sound when you press the numbers or the stop/start button. Is there a beeping noise from this one?

Yes, it makes a beeping sound. When setting a timer, for example, for 20 minutes, you only need to enter the 2 and 0. You don't have to go all the way up to 20. This timer is one of my favorites because it includes both a clock and a timer, and switching between them is simple. If you start the timer at zero, it will also "run up."

I'm looking for a timer that can set a low-frequency alarm! How often does this happen? The majority of them are 2000 hz, which is equivalent to slamming a spoon against a glass. 1000hz is the frequency I'm looking for. ?

This one has a high-quality feel to it. the sound of a high-pitched beeping A simple kitchen timer might be a good option.

Is there a five-minute and ten-minute timer?

It's nothing more than a simple timer.

Just when I needed it! This is the second one I've purchased; the first was for a friend who needed a simple to use, easy to read kitchen timer with a loud alarm that could be heard over the television, and this is it! I can read the countdown timer from a distance of at least 10 feet
5/5

The alarm is much louder than my stove or microwave timers, and I can easily hear it over the TV even though the timer is still in the kitchen and I'm in another room at least 20 feet away. It can be powered by a standard AAA battery, which is a plus.

The sound system abruptly failed
3/5

It was difficult to figure out at first, and my fingers are too big to program the timer every time I use it. Because I move around a lot, I need a timer that will fit in my apron. If I bowed down, however, the timer would stop working. I made use of my mobile phone. It was not loud when the sound was working. I bought $1 timers at Walmart that are extremely loud; I thought a more expensive timer would be better, but I'm going back to the Walmart bargains. They lose their piercing sound after a while, especially if dropped. I like to clip my apron to it as well, but I can't seem to find one that stays on me while I'm moving around doing various tasks.

Simple and expensive, with a flimsy magnet and ambiguous instructions
3/5

Here's how this timer stacks up against the one it's replacing. Advantages: br>br> 1. br>br> 2. It is very affordable. br>br> It's very easy to operate. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. A large readout is available. 4. br>br> Pleasant- The beeps of the indicator are audible. 5. br>br> There are nine buttons on the keyboard. Two keystrokes are required to type "34. " On other timers, you must press a key 34 times (or hold a key down for a long and precise period of time) to start the countdown. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are some disadvantages to using this method. 1. br>br> The magnet is weak. It comes loose from my refrigerator door with the slightest touch. (Even if the magnet held it in place, setting the timer without knocking it off the refrigerator door would be impossible because the time-set buttons require a hard sideways push. ) 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br It is inconvenient. One- No matter if the timer is attached to the refrigerator or sits on the counter, one-handed operation is impossible. To set the timer, I must stop cooking, wash my hands, and hold the timer firmly in one hand before pressing the buttons with the other. br>br>3. Instructions that have been given incorrectly. They incorrectly state that you must press the START/STOP button before entering the time, which is incorrect and will frustrate you. (To set the time, press RESET and then the four-digit buttons (MM:DD:YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY SS) denotes the current time. br>br>4. There is a time limit of 99 minutes and 59 seconds. Some recipes require a certain amount of time. Even downtown Seattle's parking meters are higher. 5. br>br> Time-of- It is inconvenient and erratic to use the day clock. Without picking up the timer and sliding a tiny switch on its underbelly, you won't be able to tell what time it is. When I put the kitchen timer in "clock" mode while it's running, it frequently fails to show the current time. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Buttons from 0 to 9 are difficult to press because they are so small. Even when pressed firmly, they occasionally do not register.

It's not pleasant to pay $12 for an item that arrives incomplete
3/5

There's nothing quite like paying $12 for something that arrives incomplete: Both were shipped without the magnets on the back clip because the adhesive had failed, but they weren't loose in the box, implying that they were shipped without them. Poor quality control during production (in China, of course) and shipping. The magnets on the two that came with them fell off halfway through their first day of use, and they had to be glued back on.

Timer of the highest quality
4/5

[original review from July 19, 2009]: br>I bake frequently and have experimented with a variety of timers over the years. My favorite is this one because of the following reasons:
- It contains all of the digits 0-9. 9 on it. This is far superior to the previous models, which only had minute and second buttons. You must press the minute button 45 times if you want to set it for 45 minutes! With this one, all you have to do is plug in 45 and get started.
- The buttons do not lose their "feedback" or wear out. " I have another Taylor brand timer with round buttons, and after a while the buttons lose their bounce (it becomes difficult to push/click and get the timer to register).
- Simple design (no extra buttons, for example)br>- Small sizebr>I'm buying a few more of these because I've been so pleased with them so far. (Somehow, I always seem to misplace them, or my husband borrows them, or my son plays with them!) )br>br>[UPDATE: August 23, 2010]: The button feedback on these timers will eventually be lost. Some of the number buttons become extremely difficult or impossible to press (or, more accurately, you can still press them but the timer does not register them). This is true even when I use a new battery. So. This could be expected of small, low-cost electronics. They simply have a short life span. Maybe there's a better brand out there that lasts longer? I have no idea. As a result, I reduced my star rating from five to four.

This timer/clock is one of my favorites
5/5

This timer/clock is one of my favorites. In my bathroom, I use it as a clock, and everywhere else, I use it as a timer. It's a small counter that counts from one to ten. I even bought a few extras because this item is no longer available in stores. The only disadvantage is that the figures begin to fade after a few years. However, I must state that I have abandoned them, and they continue to function. I own two other timer brands, but this one remains my favorite.

It is simple to use the timer
5/5

timer is good. There are four of these simple number inputs. One will be used in the kitchen, while the other two will be used by our toddler. one for the timer on the iPad, and one for the potty timer.

After 6 months, it is no longer functional
3/5

The timer will only read the time after 6 months, and it will not be the correct time; I can set the time with the back button, but the timer will not register any buttons I press. It's unfortunate that this timer failed so quickly. Instead of pressing the "minute" button 40 times to get 40 minutes like with my other timer, I liked being able to just press the number buttons for the time I needed.
