It is described as being of high quality, so I bought it with the hopes that it will live up to the expectations. When it arrived, I was excited to finally own something nice and informative that would tell me the time etc.
Well, setting it up wasn't too challenging and was relatively straightforward, and everything worked just In 2018, the time was set to this year and the auto atomic clock function was turned off since I didn't need it. Over the course of a few months, I found my time to be many hours off one morning, and later noticed my day, month, and year to be incorrect as well. When I cycled through the settings to try and restore the time back to where it should have been, I discovered that the Atomic clock function had come on ( I had this feature turned off previously ) and the year had been Then I put everything back to how it should be, and everything seemed to work fine until a week later when the same thing Over the course of four weeks, the device repeated this behavior four times. The message I sent to Marathon have been received. If you have any questions about these clocks, you should contact Alan, the only person listed. The owner of the clock agreed to replace my clock if I could email him a copy of my receipt obtained from the retailer from whom I purchased it. I explained to him what had happened to my clock, and he apologized it had happened. That's what I did, and I furnished an Amazon receipt as proof of payment. Having emailed him four times now and not receiving a response from him or anyone else, it's been more than 4 weeks since the email. This company does not provide any back up for the faulty product I still have. It seems that they have ignored me and do not want to stand behind their product. The clock I obtained thought it was the best I could afford but instead, I received a product that is not able to keep the time as it says.
I will never purchase anything from this company This is something everyone should be aware of, make sure you are careful about what you buy and who you buy it from.
The date/time and humidity sometimes don't show up at all after two weeks, but they sometimes partially show up. Turning it off and back on does not work for me. This has been happening quite a bit and I've tried to keep it off for long periods of time, but it won't return As to why I did not give it a five star review, I contacted the manufacturer on April 14th, 2018 to see if I could get a repair or a replacement one. I have yet to hear back from them, just a month after I wrote the review. As you can see, the clock looks great and I suppose if you want to try your luck in it not breaking, go ahead and buy In other words, you'll end up with a pretty thing that isn't functional.
I cannot imagine the program would have issues like this. I have updated The timezone, time, and date will slowly get more difficult to adjust. All of the changes will occur on their own. You may want to avoid this product. Just get a cheap one from the dollar store, it does not matter when the "high tech" does not The time and date worked well for a month, then the time/date changed overnight to a random number. Applied manually, hope it won't happen again, but I doubt it for sure. an item of this price, it is disappointing to discover that it has such a low rating.
My older version of this clock featured the humidity prominently at the expense of shrinking the date and time. I feel a little annoyed that it is so prominent on this version. The day of the week is important to me, well, on a daily basis. Can you tell me what the humidity is like? The data is interesting for curiosity, but not something I want to know all of the time. Even though the clock is out in Boston, it is still quite far from the GPS signal, so it doesn't sync to my wall until I move it to the window and leave it there Oh, well, Chuck. Does it really matter that it's not synced to the exact millionth of a second every single It is not too bad. A clock might sync to the atomic signal, but it is not so accurate at keeping track of time on its own. Since it hasn't been synchronized for less than a month, it is now running about 16 seconds behind. An atomic clock that shows seconds on a big screen is created to let you know what time it is When it's going to be drifting so much, I won't even be able to catch the minute without taking the clock down from the wall frequently. Then you've kind of defeated the purpose of the exercise. Perhaps you don't have a problem if you live closer to the signal or as long as there is less interference.
I like the look of it, how easy it is to read, and how much information it gives. If it weren't for the fact that it has stopped working three months after purchase, I would totally love this clock. Whenever it is set to auto-remember the time zone, it keeps losing the The time display should be accurate since that is not the case. There are two lines of code for it Originally packaged items will be warrantied for one year, but original packing is mandatory to receive It is only after using the clock for 3 months that you get that? The unit must also be shipped back to them on your own dime, so their warranty doesn't seem to be very valuable. The clock I recommend is NOT the one I recommend.
This probably gets a 3 out of 5. If I had the option, I'd give this five stars. I have no complaints about the look and the setup is not too difficult. I use it in a conference room at my company, and it looks professional without being hideously One of the biggest cons of the device is that the "atomic" feature - one of the main reasons I got it - does not work in the Bay Area. The feature doesn't interest me because I won't get a ladder and pull it off the wall to put it in a window, that's way too much difficulty, so I don't even bother with it, to be honest A functional term. The above, as well as the relatively high price, are the main complaints I have.
doesn't matter how many times you reset it, it will read what it wants, when it wants, and there is nothing you can do to change $75 is a waste of money.
It is impossible to set the unit to TIME ZONE FOR THE PACIFIC STANDARD! The difficulties a visually impaired person has reading instructions and using clocks to their full potential. The purpose of my purchase was to assist someone with visual impairments. Whenever I try to set the time in Nevada United States, it keeps resetting to 5 hours later or earlier than the actual time.
