Questions & Answers

Can the (time) display be seen in the dark or at night?

As a result, the LCD clock does not feature a backlit display, because it would draw more power from the two AA batteries, needs to be replaced Even with normal room lighting, the numbers can be easily viewed from any angle. The large Hour and Minute numbers stand out particularly well. My bathroom has one and I can read the time without glasses from across the room while I am in the shower.

Where can I find instructions for resetting my ?

All batteries should be changed at once, including the batteries in the thermometer. After changing the batteries in the thermometer, you must reset the outside first and then replace If the clock does not get the 12 after you have put the batteries in, go away till it does It has a value of $00 The back of the clock has buttons that can be used to change different aspects of the clock when it appears. Also shown on the clock is the outside temperature, which is a good indicator of when you can use the button to set It is difficult to read the instructions on the clock and the outside remote because they are in very small print.

Does it matter?

Under Features and Details you will find details about this product. It measures about 12 by 8 inches.

Indoor and outdoor temperatures can be compared to a standard set by the manufacture if known?

Another indoor and outdoor thermometer I own runs fairly close to the one I have, especially the indoor model. I think the thermometers in my clock are relatively accurate considering that they are 30 feet apart. The outdoor thermometers on my clock can vary by 5 or 6 degrees, but they are 30 feet apart.

This particular atomic clock is to be avoided! It arrived in a sleeve with no additional packing and should have realized I would have a problem when it was in a plain brown cardboard sleeve
3/5

Just the looks are the reason for the 1 star. The unit kept running six minutes behind schedule even after it was setup and receiving an AC power signal. There is no US satellite connection and I have found the following * * * A satellite resides in a galaxy very far away. 2.
There is a possibility that aliens abducted said satellite. 3 - Someone may have fired a missile at it in a foreign country. No matter what setting I used manually, nothing worked! Of course, Amazon issued a gift card in the amount of the purchase so that I could order one that runs on the reliable US satellite and I would return this one in its original packaging. So I recommend you to disregard this particular brand. Amazon always takes good care of its customers. Please note. From a distance, it can also be difficult to read.

There will be breaks between pairs
3/5

I used the inside clock and the outside temperature sensor successfully for years, but now the connection between them is broken, and no matter what you did, it would not The device has been reset twice, the battery changed and I have followed all instructions in the manual (and online) but it does not.

There is a second one which works that I would like
3/5

As far as I am concerned, three stars means that everything is fine. I have to agree with you - yes and yes That's not the first. This is the second. I bought the first about a week ago and it has been ideal so far It does exactly what it says on the tin. I thought the second one was a total waste of time. From the first one, it should have picked up the temperature signal, so that would've been helpful It happens at the same time every time. However, that would not be the case. I installed the outdoor transmitter and on and off it worked for an hour or so, then I lost the I spent two days on it, jumping through all the hoops, but I couldn't get it to work. The batteries for the remote were changed after 20 times of pressing a button. The remote was refunded. As for quality control, I'd like to have a second one which works, but it seems to be an uphill battle. Rather than get into trouble, I will quit while I am.

We have batteries, masteries
3/5

My computer isn't working. The preschool purchased 30 of these clocks for the staff, since we needed everyone to be on the same time. The first time they were powered, Sam's batteries were put in them (big mistake) and they did not last. When I read the instructions as to why, I learned that I have to put I did as such. They are all the same. Currently (3 months later), they are sporadiclly Batteries have to be bought at least every three to four months, since I cannot afford them. Why is this happening? Would you mind sharing if you also have these problems.

It does not come with batteries
4/5

I have updated version 1 of the blog. It had taken until the clock's face was facing east to finally acquire a There is also the possibility that West facing might work, so I'm assuming this is due to antenna. The clock used to be facing north before. The rating is being increased to four stars as there is no way to set the seconds manually. There's not much to this except the temperature. A signal from the atomic clock can only be found from 12AM to 6AM The search for the signal did not even take place until 6AM sync certainly hasn't taken place. When manually setting the time, there is no way to set the seconds, so the clock is always ahead of or behind actual time. What's more, the La Crosse website says to press the "-" key instead of "+. ". This is the '' button to force a manual search for the clock signal, except that there is no '-' You can do that by clicking the 'button! Also, the clock will not even try to find time unless it is connected to the outdoor receiver, so make sure it has four AA batteries, two for the base unit and two for the remote. The order will not be sent back for one more day.

The display is acting strange on me and the battery eats up the power
3/5

As a replacement for my LaCrosse from 2010 that lasted nearly 10 years, I purchased one of these in 2016. I am sorry to say that this program has caused me nothing but trouble since the first time I used As the display for the outside temp and time wasn't all that critical to me, I simply set it and watched for the temp and time A year after I upgraded to Windows 8, I noticed the display had become so faint I couldn't even make it A new set of batteries was installed. The time on them read bizarre, and I noticed the time to be half a world away from where I was at, so I stopped using them after 3 months. It has been reset manually and the batteries have been replaced. Two months after that, the batteries stopped working. This monstrosity is now gone and I am looking for another clock to replace it. The one thing I can say for certain is The clock I have now will never be replaced!.

Still no response from La Crosse to my email, so I had to reduce my rating to one star
3/5

A La Crosse Technology clock and a La Crosse Technology timepiece were purchased The average is 1 approximately. This time last year. A year ago, there was another incident. In a nutshell, It was fine with them both except for the outside temperature. There was an approx. 4 degree difference between the two, but it did not affect our enjoyment. In a nutshell, About two and a half weeks ago, one of the clocks' times were off, so now the outside temp won't read at all, and the clock will not automatically reset. In a nutshell, When I first reset it works fine for about two hours and then stops again. It has happened to me five times so far when I reset it online. In a nutshell, It is still covered by the one year warranty, which is why I sent La Crosse an email about the clock two weeks ago. In a nutshell, The person who responded to my email has not returned my email, so I cannot recommend this clock at this time. Please refer to the attachment for additional information. As a result, I have reduced my rating from two to one. I never received a response from La Crosse, so it appears that they do not intend to honor In addition to this, not only does the temperature no longer work, but the time also no longer stays set to the right time either, as it usually does. Whenever the clock is set to 12 am, it stays there. My experience with La Crosse Technology has led me never to purchase any more products from the company I want to say SHAME ON LA CROSSE for not providing excellent customer service and providing a product that didn't even last a year. The reply to my email has yet to come several months later. A clock that was in trash for so long that the warranty is worthless is long gone. The clock is expensive for such a short life span and the customer service is terrible. I will never do business with La Crosse Technology again.

I like it a lot! La Crosse Technology products are among the products I have used for well over 10 years, and I thoroughly The service they provide is exceptional, and that's more than I can say for other companies
5/5

My experience with other atomic clocks has not been the same as with the It is the third clock I bought (the other two are still working) and it does exactly what it was advertised to do. The indoor humidity is basically the same as the phases of the moon, so it is actually similar to the moon phases.
