We placed the batteries in, and the large numbers looked good at first, but the wireless remote was approximately 6 degrees off from the main unit when the unit was within 7 inches. Placed both next to my old unit, and the main unit had a temperature that was several degrees off as well. My remote stopped working when I was looking at it. I tried everything to get it to work again, but it didn't work. The return is being made because of those problems. I have updated. As a result, I received a new one at no charge with a rationale why the temperatures were not matching. The new unit works great, it's super easy to set up, and all the temperatures were matched in under 15 minutes. did not match the original after a period of over 24 hours. There was a considerable difference between My experience with this product has been very positive and the company did not ask to update my review. They merely asked if they could send me a new unit considering that my old one has.
It is less than useless as a manual. These instructions, I presume, were translated from Chinese. I believe they make as much sense as possible. An outdoor temperature sensor could not be recognized by the clock and the instructions are quite confusing. The photo shows what I mean. Neither this POS nor the other have a 'Wave' button. The item will be returned to you.
In response to my question on how to change time from C to F, I received many appreciated but no-worky answers and I finally achieved it by inserting an unbent paper clip into the resetting hole, then a second time going through the setup. It did not seem to be on C when it was last on it, but it had been there. It went to F when I reset it, since I had read in instructions that the default was Even though I had to go through the long setup sequence again to change everything else (and I looked closely for C to F setting, but I don't see it), the thermostat is set as I want it and it displays the temperature A eureka moment!.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the product. In retrospect, I should have heeded the warnings posted on other reviews and decided not to purchase the product. The outdoor room temperature/humidity sensor does not work, and this was one of my main criteria for purchasing the product. Despite my seller's prompt response, they sent me another unit, which is also not working. Buying it for my husband as a birthday gift was a good idea. The desire to have it came from my own self-interest. I thought the larger numbers would be more comfortable for him since he has very poor vision. I like that I can read it from across the room, and I like knowing the outside temperature. Our atomic wall clock worked for many years until it was lost its brain and stopped working. It took me some time to find this clock, but I finally found it.
