I've updated! This Lismore Waterford Crystal Clock was quite nice, but the battery was dead, so it wasn't working. My disappointment is primarily due to the fact that this was a Gift. It is hoped that the battery will work once it is replaced. In case the clock does not work, I will update this further. UPDATE
It turned out that the battery is not dead. There is a problem with the clock itself, which needs to be fixed. We were very disappointed in our purchase and we will never choose to purchase Waterford from Amazon or this provider again! It is a nice piece of waterford crystal, though I was expecting it to be such because it is Waterford. It is a gift for a family member, so it is ok. Despite the fact that they had to pay to fix it, they managed to get away with it. The item should have been returned rather than kept! You, the buyer. You must beware.

Unlike some previous reviews, ours came in original boxes, but they are smaller than the ones listed. They also lack a chime but are quite heavy for their size. Waterford tissue paper was used to wrap the clocks, then bubble wrap was used to wrap the clocks, and finally black Waterford boxes were used to contain the clocks. A total of six sides of each box were wrapped in bubble wrap, then the bubble wrap was wedged inside an outer box. Waterford boxes had one minor dent, but I believe it was the result of the weight of the bubble-wrapped clock inside, which probably made the clock large for the box. The dent is only 1" in diameter, and may be there to hold the clock in place.

Except for the black Waterford box containing the clock, the packaging was fine. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and, within that, Waterford tissue paper, but the outer black box was damaged in several places and the boxes had been crushed.
