I got it for my boss as a present. She replaced her "standard issue" black plastic wall clock with an upgraded brushed finish unit when it stopped working a while ago. So, what is the issue? It made an unbearable ticking noise! We're talking about a 20-year sentence in solitary confinement. The clock is ticking on a one-year prison sentence. Fortunately, it fell and broke, and she was too depressed to buy another clock. I had high expectations when I bought it, and I was not let down! There is no sound from the second hand because it moves smoothly and continuously. Even in a drab office environment, the rose gold finish adds a touch of class. I'm so taken with it that I'm thinking about getting another one for my walls!.
When we first got it, the clock was broken. I noticed the short hand had fallen to the six when it was just at nine after I installed the battery. The short hand dropped to the 6 when it was at a 9 or higher. It was a little too loose in there, in my opinion. I couldn't keep it and had to give it back. The colors were vibrant, and the numbers were large, but the clock would not advance. br>br>Update: They contacted me right after reading my review. They gave me a complete refund and replaced it with a new one. I'm grateful that this company acted so quickly! The second clock is also in excellent working condition.
It tells time for a few hours and then stops for a few minutes to several hours; removing and replacing the battery will restart it, but it will stop again. The battery has been replaced - The battery isn't the issue because it was purchased from Amazon Basics about a month ago. I'm extremely disappointed! This teal clock was purchased for my daughter's room, which also features teal accents. It's adorable, and it matches her decor perfectly. I was going to return this one and buy another in the hopes that it would work, but the teal color is no longer available. So I'll just have to return it and look for something new.
I thought the quality of the box was lower than expected when I first opened it; It's light and mostly made of plastic, as far as I can tell. It was supposed to go in my daughter's room, which has a rose, white, and gold color scheme. We liked it a lot after we hung it up. It has a nice appearance and is easy to read from afar. I purchased a second one to hang in my other daughter's room, which has a light gray, white, and gold theme. There, it appeared to be even nicer. This clock isn't particularly fancy, and you wouldn't expect it to cost more than a hundred dollars, but it served my daughters' rooms admirably.
Mine arrived in good condition, and I've had no problems with it; it's also completely silent, which I appreciate. And I had a hard time deciding between two clocks, but I'm glad I chose this one!.
I've had it for over two years, but I'm only now realizing there's a problem with the mechanics because the hands are out of sync - I removed the frame because the minute hand lags and the hour hand moves too quickly. I tried manually correcting/adjusting the glass cover, but it didn't work. Over- CHINA crap is once again overpriced on Amazon:.
This clock is large enough to be seen from afar, but the lighting must be just right because the numbers blend into the clock's face. It's understated, which I like, but it's not bold enough for me. It blends in nicely with my decor, keeps time, and is completely silent. I wish the case had been made of metal rather than plastic.
It stopped keeping time an hour after I put it up, so I replaced the battery with a new one. Then it simply stopped, dead, after about two (2) hours. The electro-acoustic music is, of course, a must-have. The mechanical unit that drives it is faulty (also known as "cheap"). It has a very clean appearance and works well with the rest of the space. But it's a flop, a paper tiger, in terms of functionality. Thank you, but no thanks.
