This set was purchased because I had never previously owned a snuffer or wick dipper. The wick trimmer is a fantastic tool. I discovered that the wick dipper is more appealing to me than the bell-shaped dipper. shaped snuffer for my three-year-old daughter I'll explain why you should use wick candles. There are several options for putting out the flame.
1. Blowing - I like the smoldering smoke that rises after extinguishing that way because it is quick and effective. Compared to the candle you were burning, it takes over as the dominant scent.
2. When you use the bell snuffer to put out a fire, it does so quickly and with little smoke. . . but it leaves a lot of wax on the snuffer - This gives the impression that you're wasting wax and shortening the candle's life. br>I think a tall pillar candle would look great with that style of snuffer.
3. WICK DIPPER is the king of the hill. Simply pull the wick down into the melted wax, and it snuffs it out without producing any smoke, as well as coating the wick with wax, which appears to be beneficial for re-lighting. lighting. br>To summarize, if you enjoy candles, this set is an excellent value and a no-brainer.
The set is well-made and packaged, but my box arrived dented. The black coating on the Candle Wick Trimmer is already peeling off, and the blade is very weak. I've only used it twice. Three different candle wicks took a lot of effort to cut. I'll be back, and I don't recommend it.
It's amazing how well this who set works. The matte black finish is sleek, the trimmers are razor-sharp, and my wicks have never shrunk or caused me any problems. I also never used a "dipper" to put out a candle. To extinguish the flame with the least amount of smoke, gently press the wick into the liquid wax, then use the bell to catch any remaining smoke. It works perfectly and would make an excellent gift for any candle enthusiast!.
I burn candles on a daily basis, so they see a lot of action. Surprisingly, the bell-shaped snuffer, which I assumed I'd use the most, is the tool I use the least, as I've discovered that the wick dipper is a more efficient tool for extinguishing a flame while also eliminating any smoke. Even when cutting the wick at the bottom of a large jar, the trimmer is sharp and comfortable to use. If I had to change anything, I would not order the set in black because cutting the black wick with a black trimmer can be difficult.
br> When I use the bell, it instantly extinguishes flames. I have a copper one, but I couldn't always use it because it was curved. For ease of access, this goes straight down. It works much better because it extinguishes the flame much faster, which is nice. br>br> I use the trim, but it's not ideal because it's also curved, which means cutting wicks sometimes comes out slanted, which is annoying. I also can't cut 7-day candles to trim them, so that's a waste. br>br>I like the other piece because I can use it to center my wicks and clean wax off the sides of the glass.
The trimmer was very easy to use because some of my candles were in narrow vases or jars. They have a nice weight to them and look nice enough to display alongside the candle on a tray. I'm going to order more of these and start giving them out as gifts with a candle.
These tools are of reasonable quality and perform admirably. br>I've used the wick trimmer on a variety of candle brands, and it cuts cleanly and catches the cutting before it falls into the wax. br>The snuffer is ideal for candles that continue to smoke after being put out. I'd rather the top of the bell didn't move because it can be difficult to get it over the wick and flame without it falling into the melted wax. br>I haven't tried the wick tool yet, but it is made of the same durable metal.
Finally, I have a dedicated tool for cutting my candle wicks, so I don't have to use my scissors to cut them. char. The cut-outs are collected by the cutter. It's easy to toss in the trash because it's off nub on the small round platform. They're also great for cutting wicks in a candle or a glass container that are buried deep. After you've blown out the candle, the "pick" is useful for straightening your wicks. And while the snuffer is designed for taper candles (which I don't use very often), you can still use it on pillar candles and other types of candles; just be careful not to lower the dome into the pool of melted wax, as it will become coated in wax (and possibly messy). If you have a steady hand, you can simply hover over the flame and the candle will be extinguished. It will only take a few seconds longer.
