My Orthodox Eastern (Russian) Christmas arrived just in time. I replaced my olive oil wick burner in the pictured vessel with the soy wax, and it not only burns CLEAN but also- It has an almost "ozone"-like quality to it. such as odor I've attached a photo of the shelf where I keep my icons, which is just above my stove. I'm always in the kitchen, and I can spend the majority of my day and night with these revered icons. Let me tell you something- The soy candle with the clear holder outperforms the oil method, and I strongly advise others to try soy wax before going back to the oil/wick method. br>To be honest, I went to smell the burning candle and was completely taken aback by the amount of ozone I inhaled. There is no soot, petroleum, or diesel smell like regular tea lights, and there is no thick black icon that destroys soot like the oil method. The wick burns slightly brighter than the soot-covered cotton wick used with olive oil, which is strange. It was also well worth the money. I'm in love with these candles, despite the fact that I'm only on my fourth hour of burning them (it). My candles came in a bag when they were delivered. They were a shambles, covered in wax. I was hoping they'd come in a box so I could store them in a neat manner. br>br>I've only burned two candles so far, and each one lasted about 30 minutes longer than the other. No smoke. The burn is slow and clean. They went out and didn't leave much wax behind. I like the candles, but I don't like how they were packaged.
In a word, these are fantastic! These were purchased to replace some cheap tea lights that I had purchased previously. The tea lights come in a box with layers of packaging. I've burned through about 85 of the 100 candles I purchased recently because the quality is excellent and they stay lit the entire time. I've been putting them in votive holders around the back yard deck rails, and it looks so nice. Outside, I've had up to 20 of these running at once: ) They've been in the oven for at least 7 hours, if not more. What was also important to me was that they burn so cleanly that there are no noxious fumes in the room when I have several burning in candleholders indoors (this was previously a problem for me because I have asthma). The toxic fumes of traditional candles are not inhaled by my lungs. I'm only going to use soy in the future, and these tealights are fantastic. I'm prepared to purchase a second box.
Because soy wax has a lower melting temperature than conventional paraffin, the entire surface area melts completely in a short amount of time, and thus no pit forms around the wick after the flame has been extinguished and the wax has cooled. As a result, when I relight it the next morning, the flame is not smothered as it would be with a traditional paraffin tea light. This enables me to use the same candle on a daily basis. In addition, when the tea light is finished, the clear plastic cup is nearly empty, with no leftover wax! I wouldn't recommend using soy wax in a diffuser for scented oils because it burns a little cooler than regular paraffin (creating a smaller flame and generating less heat). But they can't be beat in a tea light holder or small votive glass for a delicately attractive flame and a long burn time! I just placed my third order for these soy lights!.
The first time I bought these, they came in a sturdy cardboard box with a flip lid, which made them easy to store in a shallow drawer. The candles were also in excellent condition and unscented. They were fantastic. I went back and bought the same item a few days later. All of the candles had been thrown into a plastic bag, the wax had been shredded and was all over the place, and they had a strong PERFUME SMELL. Disappointed to the point of despair. I put everything back in the bag and am leaving right away. If you want something that is nicely packaged and unscented, this is not the product for you.
These soy tea lights are one of my favorites because they don't emit any black smoke. They burn for a long time and turn a beautiful clear color as they burn, which looks great in their clear cups. I had been buying the mega packs of cheap white candles. However, I switched to these and am very happy with my decision. They're a good investment because they last at least three years. 4 hours: I light these candles when I get home from work around 6 p. m. , and I have to blow them out when I go to bed around 9 or 10 p. m. because they are still glowing. I'm not going to buy any more of those cheap tea lights. These are the best. The candles are packaged in a plastic bag, as many others have stated. This means they're filthy, with wax all over them, and they need to be wiped clean before using or storing them. Why are they unable to place them in a cardboard box? They're not bad at burning. No odor. There is always some wax left in the bottom of the cup, and if the burnt wick comes off, it will leave a stubborn black mark on anything it comes into contact with. This is the first time I've used soy candles since going vegan and attempting to transition away from beeswax to a non-paraffin alternative. I wish there was a better option, but I'll try a different brand next time before deciding on soy.
