Questions & Answers

What are the measurements from the top to the bottom?

It takes 12 minutes to get from point A to point B. 13 inches in length My version is on the mantel above my fireplace, rather than hanging. (Like a tripod, except with three points down.) As a result, it stands about 11 inches tall. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Hello, I'd like to hang this lantern on my porch, but the area can be windy at times. Is this lantern strong enough to withstand a gust of wind? Thank you very much! ?

My daughter has two of them on her porch, which I gave her. They've been fine; the wind hasn't bothered them, and they're extremely durable.

If I modify it, is there a limit to the size (wattage) of led bulb I can use?

This is exactly what I'm doing right now. I've decided to use a variety of options so that I can switch them out if I change my mind. So here we go. Option 1: 3W RGB LED light bulb with remote that uses USB standard port; I can now choose to use USB to power bank, making it completely portable around the house or even outside the house, and have color choices for the bulb light as well as a small amount of dimming or even a few twinkles and fade outs between colors. The 3W RGB bulb does, in fact, produce a significant amount of light. I also have the option of connecting directly to AC via an adapter charger that plugs into the wall outlet while the other end has a standard USB plug. This also enables me to keep using the REmote control. Finally, a 10-foot extension cord is added to these. Option 2: Same RGB light idea, same 3 to 7 watt options, but they screw into a true AC Light bulb Socket extention cord. I usually use a 15 foot outdoor version sold here on Amazon for around 10 to 12 dollars. Which brings me to the third option. Together, they total four. Same story, only no RGB color or remote controls, just a lovely clear bulb in warm or day light and 5 watts usually, and if buying the camping USB type of these LED bulbs, I buy Onlites that come with a rocker on off switch and prefer the metal bail hanger to the plastic bail hanger because they hold up better in both hotter and colder temperatures. I also have LED bulbs that can be screwed into a standard E6 socket and plugged into the wall. Choose a dimmer bulb for a fifth option. Stick with LED bulbs, regardless of wattage, because BELIEVE ME, the 3,5,7 watt LED bulbs all seem to put out about the same amount of light, regardless of whether they're plugged in to AC, USB, or a combination of both with adapters. I enjoy the convenience of remote controls as well as the fun of changing the color of the lights during special occasions such as Valentine's Day. Also, if you want to use it outside on a covered porch in the summer, you can choose from the YELLOW to ORANGE color ranges, and yes, it appears to keep bugs out. (I once had to return home a day after leaving to go camping up the Kootenai River to clean two puzzle lamp shades and disassemble them to thoroughly wash each part before reassembling them.) WHY did over 1000 bugs swarm to the lights as a result of a river hatch of several species? I switched to RGB bulbs the next night, camped right on the river in the same campsite, and there was not a single bug to be found. That was about 4 years ago, and every year when I cmp, I use the RGB bulbs to keep the bugs away. I'd hate to have to clean the inside of this star if it was full of sticky, odorous, and yes, even bug hatches. As long as you're inside, this shouldn't be an issue. However, I would say that a 25 watt AC bulb might be fine, but it will get hot and draw a lot of power, raising safety concerns all around. I've switched almost everything I have control over to LED lights since discovering the joys and wonderful options they provide. (I did a minor operation on a lastic Moroccan style light that came with an LED light prewired but was AC only to remove it and replace it with a double glued back to back USB/LED light strip so I can now use Powerbanks and added rocker switches to allow me to turn it off when I need or want.) I wouldn't recommend doing this last part unless you're confident in your abilities and knowledge of what you're doing. Now that I've completed the first one, I have a spare that I'm going to turn into an RGB LED Remote Controlled Light like this one. Actually, once you figure out how to open the door, you can use almost anything with the metal and glass.

I'm curious about the hue of this lamp. Although the photos show it to be clear, the description states that it is multicolored. Is it one of these?

My lamp is made of clear glass with a lovely print on it. It's a very well-made lamp. In it, I inserted a battery-operated light string. It's so lovely when the lamp is turned on.

With fairy lights, it's absolutely stunning! I'd had my eye on this for at least a year, possibly two, and finally decided to purchase it! I'm so happy I did
5/5

It was well-packaged and in excellent condition when it arrived. The glass, like the metal, is very strong. I went over all of the metal with a metallic gold paint pen, and then I added some remote-controlled battery-operated fairy lights inside; it's stunning! I bought this to use as a topper for my Christmas tree this year, which I will continue to do, but I've been hanging it over a door frame in the foyer leading into the hall and using it every night since I got it all put together! It appears to be fantastic!.

I transformed this lovely lantern into a nightlight with an electric cord
5/5

This lantern is perfect for me! I was looking for a hanging star lantern in the Moroccan style to hang under my covered porch. The pre- I considered wired lanterns to be overkill for my porch because they were so expensive. I only needed a light source that was dim. enough to see what you're doing, but not so much that it floods the room with light or blinds you when you look at it. I was hoping to modify this lantern to fit a small nightlight on a cord (4 watt C7 bulb) when I placed my order. These cords can be found in brown on Amazon for around $5 or $6. br>The lantern was shipped and delivered on time and in excellent condition. The product box was encased in a box from Amazon. Every glass pane was protected by styrofoam inside the package box, and there was not a single cracked, broken, or misplaced glass pane. To put it another way, the lantern was in perfect working order when it arrived. There's a small metal door on a hinge that swings open. This is where the tealight candle would be placed. The candle is held in place by a metal candle holder that hangs inside the lantern. This hanger was taken off the hook. The metal tabs holding one of the top glass panes were then bent back. I carefully bent the tabs back into place after removing the glass pane and threading through my nightlight cord. I then hung the star from a secure hook on my ceiling and plugged the light into a timer, taking care to place the glass slightly lower so the top triangle portion would have enough space for the cord, but not so tight that it would damage the cord. PERFECT! Every night, the light turns on, illuminating my porch's sitting area dimly. It is completely weatherproof, so I can't comment on how well it would hold up in the real world. Yes, some bugs find their way into the tiny openings. There aren't many, though. The small hinged door makes cleaning a breeze. I don't have to be concerned about a fire hazard because it's only a 4 watt bulb. br>Overall, this hanging star candle holder is one of my favorites. It's lovely whether it's lit or not. When lit, it emits a lovely glow in a lovely geometric pattern. This would look fantastic with a candle. It works great when you thread a nightlight cord through it. It's impossible to beat Amazon's price. I've seen similar lights for well over $100 in catalogs. This light has gotten a lot of positive feedback, and I plan to keep it up all year. Please take note of the following: This is what I use in a covered outdoor area that is protected from the elements. I'm not sure how well this would hold up if it were completely exposed to the elements. br>This listing's item description is correct, and the photo is accurate; I've included a photo of the lantern lit at night to show you what it looks like.

A big star is suspended from the ceiling
5/5

I bought this as an indoor room decoration, and it's a lot bigger than I anticipated! I was impressed by the piece's size and weight- a significant amount There are no broken or bent pieces, indicating that the quality is good. One side of the star has hinges that allow it to fold outward, revealing the interior, which includes a small metal platform on a hook that you hang from another hook, which supports a small tealight sized candle. This could probably be used on a covered porch, but I wouldn't leave it out in the rain or in extreme temperatures. More photos on the product page would have highlighted the size and features better. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

I've bought it twice because it's so nice; I adore this lantern
5/5

It has a substantial weight to it. I'd say it's a medium-sized one, though I've seen larger ones. It is, however, lovely. I bought this one before and gave it to my roommate when I moved because I didn't want to worry about it breaking and I needed the space. It's wonderful to see it again.

The nightlight is ideal
5/5

I bought this lantern to use as a night light in my son's room because he's in a stage where traditional plug-in lights aren't working for him. In the evenings, nightlights are insufficiently bright. I bought a single socket with a 15' cord and was able to feed the light socket through the tab holding in one of the glass panels, then replace the glass panel. There is just enough room between the top of the glass panel and the lantern's frame for the electrical cord to pass through. It's beautiful now that I've added an LED string light replacement bulb and a chain to hang it from. I'd like to have one in my own room now!.

This is a well-designed star at an affordable price
5/5

Star that is well-made, durable, and appealing. It has a tea-hanger on the inside. Candles of a small size I removed the hanger and simply placed an LED votive candle inside; I'm very pleased with the quality of this star, especially considering its low price.

It's pretty, but it's a pain to open
4/5

It appeals to me a great deal. On my balcony, I have two of them. Because of the excellent packaging, it arrived in one piece. The only issue I had was determining how to enter it. That is why I only gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating. The instructions on how to open it should be included.
