It won't matter how big the opening is, as long as it is 3" in diameter. IMPORTANT NOTE It is only suitable for candle jars with a single wick.

It looks pretty even when it is not "in use"

Burning a candle causes the glass to turn black. It's better than letting the soot fly in the air, but I don't want to have to clean it every time I use it.
