The only reason I chose this item over a similar but less expensive one was because it came in its own manufacturer box, as shown in the advertisement picture. I received the item in a clear plastic bag, which was unfortunate. Because it was supposed to be a gift, the extra money was not worth it.
However, this aids in the extinguishment of the flames.
I had never considered using a candle snuffer until this year, when I accidentally blew out some Christmas candles that were burning and sprayed hot wax all over the bookcase and the wall behind it. Hot wax soaks into the paint and won't come off, leaving a nice dark spatter stain on the wall; it looks like I'll have to repaint this summer. This works perfectly, it looks nice next to the candle fixtures, and there is no more spattered wax. It's something I wish I'd known about sooner.
To put it to use, I had to glue it. The package was split into two parts when it arrived. The handle would not stay screwed into the end part, so I had to super glue it together. It was not well made at all - This is undoubtedly reflected in the price; however, I was disappointed.
It isn't a heavy metal song.
Very lovely. This snuffer will get the job done. I bought it to put out my tea candles so that I wouldn't blow wax all over the place. It performs admirably. The weight is appealing to me, and it looks lovely on the mantle. Additionally, the cost is ideal.
