This sturdy dust pan picks up even the tiniest of dirt from the floors. I was sick of the cheap plastic ones breaking all the time, so it was well worth the money.
Our plank vinyl flooring is not scratched by it - Not by a long shot. And it does so admirably.
That was not an issue for me.
If you're clever, you'll put the ring holder on before snapping the broom handle together.

I needed a metallic dustpan to sweep up cinders from the fireplace, so I bought two of these, thinking I could use one for scooping dog poop from the backyard. The dustpan part is metal and sturdy, but the bucket swivels and it's easy to drop whatever's inside unless you're very careful. Because of the swiveling, it's also risky to empty the contents. You must keep it in place while emptying the contents, or else everything will fall to the floor. I wish it had been made better.
The problem has been resolved! I bought this metal dustpan because I wanted something durable, and I figured that because the sections were screwed together, I could drill holes and set screws to 'fix' the swiveling issues described in previous reviews. No need. Spring connectors that lock in place have been developed as a result of the manufacturer's feedback. At least, that's how the one I got works. When I emptied it, it was completely motionless. br>br>With the purchase, I am pleased. I'd buy it again, but I don't think there will be a need given its construction.
It's sturdy, good value, and has a few flaws. It does, however, come in a four-piece set. Putting the pieces together and assembling them is, well, a challenge. br>br>For starters, no instructions are provided. I was finally able to figure it out: The end of the rod that does not have a tapered end fits into the pan, though it is a tight fit. It is then self-explanatory to join the remaining two pieces. self-explanatory br>br>There's also a minor physical hazard: I'm wearing a bandage on my forefinger after pinching it while inserting one rod into the other. It wasn't a life-threatening wound, but it was one of those deep cuts that wouldn't stop bleeding. Worse than a physical injury in terms of annoyance. Would I buy it again? br>br>Would I recommend it to others? Sure, now that I'm aware of the risks and precautions to take.
I was pleased with all aspects except one, which is likely the most important: the products screw together but there is no way to lock them in place, so when you turn the dust pan with the handle, it simply turns as one or more of the three threaded connections unscrews. I was able to modify it by drilling holes in each connection and inserting screws to secure it. There's no way it'll be usable unless you do that.
I bought this to clean out the inside of my wood stove, assuming I wouldn't use the handle. What a pleasant surprise it was to discover that the handle could be removed and reattached with a single click. So I use it to clean up around the wood stove, and then I remove the handle when it's time to clean the ash out of the stove. This is the best ash-cleaning tool I've ever used; it fits in the corners and on the bottom of the stove, and it's a great price. LOVE IT!.
This product was appealing to the eye, which is why I wanted it; it is heavy duty, but too heavy for me. I'm going to give it my all and see if I can get used to this heavy machine.
This dust bin is not only sturdy, but it also has a stylish design that makes it ideal for all of my sweeping and mess-collecting needs. Plus, because it's made of metal, I don't have to worry about it warping and forcing me to stand on it to get all of the debris into it.
I was sick of flimsy dust pans that didn't last and weren't built well enough to catch all of the debris. This is ideal because I have five dogs and a wood stove, which necessitates sweeping at least twice a day. The large capacity pan easily holds whatever debris I sweep up, and it sits so snugly against the floor that everything goes right into the pan, rather than underneath like my other dust pans. It's surprisingly easy to move around thanks to the forward tilt of the handle. It's also extremely durable!.
