This is not a smooth surface as I anticipated but it is fine. If the photo on the listing is upside down then it is hard to see the details) Despite the fact that it actually works as a scouring pad on dishes, the rough surface does not scratch, which probably relates to the fact that the pad appears to be made of some kind of nylon material. What I like best is that the pad removes cheese that has melted onto a dish without it sticking to it (or clogging it up). This is due to its porous surface, which allows it to breathe and does not become smelly or mildewy.

Previously, I used this pad to clean acrylic paint off my palette, but I plan to try other surfaces with it as well. I will report back with my results after I have tried.

It's hard to imagine having a moldy odor the first couple of days, but they never stink, they last for about a month to a month and a half, and they don't smell! The product has been an absolute delight and I will be using it exclusively.

As it was false advertising, I feel like I got taken for a ride with this purchase! Obviously, I am disappointed in this decision. Please know that the box says that they will scratch some surfaces, so I would suggest being cautious about buying them.

It is impossible for me to clean my kitchen ware without using Dobie sponges since they clean so well while not scratching it. After seeing these, I decided to try them since they looked almost the same but were much less expensive. Out of the box, they seem to be the same and they work exceptionally well for a while, but then the sponge collapses and it goes Since it is so flat, it is actually harder to grasp while wearing dish gloves because it does not hold as much dish soap as it used to. This is so disappointing for me! In my Dobie sponges, the springy sponge shape stays and while the scrub brushes clean well I don't understand it Though the scratching outside layer doesn't tear up as easily as the Dobie, I don't think it's worth my while to purchase them again due to the collapsing sponge. There is no way to remove the stains. The first thing you notice about it is how dirty it looks. Any person who uses or looks at the sponge for any length of time My problem is with all of these. I've gone through the entire box with the same issue. I would never purchase them again because they become so dirty so quickly. This means it cleans very well, but it looks dirty so quickly. If you want a sponge solely for utility, this may be your sponge. My love for them is evident from the headline. The dishes get clean with just the right amount of scrub but they don't scratch what they are over. Their stiffness increases very quickly after they are taken out of the box, but they become more malleable pretty soon. I'm still trying to convince my husband not to leave them caked in food after washing dishes. If you rinse them well after washing dishes, they last a few weeks to a couple months, depending on what you're washing.
