In regards to using, it as a universal cleaner, what would be the downside, e.g. What kind of materials are best for kitchen counters, sinks, and so forth?

Quite a bit of power is packed into this stuff. My own use of it as an everyday cleaner would be limited, but you may be able to. There is only one drawback to it It smells a little harsh, and I wouldn't want to get it in my eyes or on my skin or in my hair.

Could this be used on oak ?

There is a loss of lacquer finish because it "melted". When I did the test patch, I did not notice that the doors were sticky, but after they dried, it remained sticky. Although the lacquer finish is dirty around the edges, it is still beautiful after 30 years even though I used it on the finish.

What if I want to use this on a nonstick pan?

As a cleaner, this product is for industrial use - I would not use it. A dish soap is not what you're looking for. I'm sure that it will not work well on your plant pots. This stuff can peel paint from the wall.

Both my kitchen and Weber grill have been cleaned with this product. I have ordered it twice now and use it both indoors and outdoors. Make sure not to get it on your counters (stone). In the cabinets near the stove, I cleaned them. Initially, I had a sticky feeling in the apartment. The wood is safe with this and it cuts through the grease holding the 'yuck' in place. In my opinion, the grill hood is the best place for them. In due course, the grill hood will be covered in black soot (on the inside). My first lesson in ZEP was that it was much stronger than soot that had built up. Now that the grill's hood is not black, you will be able to see inside once again. Packaging is handled with care by them. The rest of the package would still be protected if it were to leak. I have never had a leak with mine. It is a great job that they do.

I don't know how they do it, but this stuff is tough! When I bought a giant hood vent from Vent-A-lounge, I made the mistake of thinking it would look good I bought a new range hood to match my new range, and I soon discovered that the bigger the vent and range, the harder it is In order to find the best cleaner, one that is not pure caustic lye was necessary

The product came highly recommended and rated, so I had to give it a go, and from the looks of it it does what it says! wipe surfaces clean. I don't know you just might enjoy it as much as I do. But be careful around small animals and children, and wear gloves. Besides its pleasant scent, it is also very easy to use!.

There were some issues with this that didn't work out as well as I would have liked. Despite being called Heavy-duty, it fails to live up to its claims Having a duty. Although it cleaned the inside of my Wolf gas stove, it did not thoroughly clean it. There was even a time that I let it dry and sprayed it again There is a pleasant smell to it.

Great product that has no problem cleaning greasy surfaces - Unlike many products which claim to work on greasy surfaces, this works very well

By transferring the product to another spray bottle, I can overcome the poor spray quality of the sprayer. There is no doubt that you will be satisfied with the product's results.

There is no better way than simple green to fix a broken nozzle

My apologies to be a negative ned, but after about 30 pumps the sprayer broke down. It lasted less than two hours since I was using it over an afternoon. At first I was surprised by its cleaning power, but eventually saw it wasn't any better than Simple Green and was much more expensive. Since I was returning too much to Amazon at that point, I just tossed it.

Surfaces that have been coated in glue or grease can be removed using this. My bicycle chain comes clean after using it to clean all the gunk off. During the winter, I use this on my auto to clean out.
