Hello, Scuba, and thank you for your question. Yes, because the heat, not the direct sunlight, is what reactivates the charcoal. You can also use clothespins to 'hang' them outside. If you try refreshing them inside in a sunny spot, use the bags, and they don't work, you can try putting them outside in the sun again. This reminds me of a cat sitting in a bright window. Their fur gets just as hot inside as it would if they were sitting in the sun. These deodorizer bags for shoes are fantastic. Best of luck!

We have a small closet that we use solely for shoes, with shelves above and a dirty laundry hamper below. I have one of these for each pair of shoes in my closet to keep it from stinking up. I still use a spray product on my husband's shoes every now and then, but these bags do the trick for mine. I like the grommets on top because you can tie each pair together with a rope or ribbon and hang them up when not in use. The big pack was a great deal, and it was large enough to fit all of our shoes.
Arrived on time. Each pouch appears to be quite full and the fabric appears to be of high quality. I use it to deodorize a stinky, damp, and smoky car, as well as stinky shoes. It has already proven to be beneficial. It's also nice to have the sturdy rivet so I can hang them on a clothes hanger or hook in the closets after putting them out in the sun to recharge and freshen them up if necessary.
Simply follow the instructions and you will be amazed! It is extremely simple to operate. They were just delivered, and they have completely absorbed the odor of the shoes so far. Every few days or so, I'll remember to take them out and place them in the sun for an hour.
This bamboo charcoal is a magician's wand! The smell was gone the next day after I used this overnight in my most worn pair of shoes. There was no odor in my shoes, and there was no odor in the charcoal bag. I particularly like the size of this product; the smaller bags fit perfectly in my size 6 shoes, which is fantastic. Don't forget to clean your shoes, though! We taped it to the ceiling of our cat's litter box for the larger ones. The fresh poops still stink, but not nearly as much as they did before. br>This is one of my favorites because it is well worth it. The only thing you have to do to keep it in good working order is to expose it to the sun. Because the charcoal has become inactive after two years, I intend to use it as a plant fertilizer.
These are effective at removing odors from the environment. Although this brand is a little smaller than others, it still packs a punch in the shoe department.
