My knowledge of this is limited. I know that my comforter tucks in and that the foot end of the mattress extends toward the feet of the bed. Currently, I have a standard daybed spread that measures 19 inches wide in front and on either side (on top of the regular mattress is a 3" cushion). This is just what I need! The day bed needed to be able to be converted into a king so it could be placed in our main floor office. There's nothing better than this bed for doing just The daybed looks nice when it's a daybed, and it can be converted into a king-sized bed when you use a king-size bed converter kit, foam pad, and mattress cover. There are just two things that make it awkward the arms that run alongside the top of the bed, but that's the same for every daybed. It is important to notice you will need to purchase a daybed set to cover your mattresses if you do not wish to have it look like two beds. My bed is much more comfortable now that I bought it. In the last year, we have used it for many visitors.
In my opinion, the price is outrageous for the quality of the product. It is not a good idea to Small enough to fit a small hand. The mistake I made was to buy it for a full size bed and it was way too small for that.
