Questions & Answers
Yes, it will fit around the top like the picture shows and will block out light, preventing sunlight from reaching the child's face. Assists children in getting a good night's sleep.
Because the fabric is a mix of cotton and polyester, it provides better shading for a child's bed or reading nook corner than pure cotton fabric.
It's a light rusty red rose color, not a deep burgundy.
Elegant gray and etheral gray are the same color; the finished product is a medium gray. According to the photos in the customer review, the customer purchased two gray canopies, and the color on the RIGHT side is the true color of the product.

They're big enough that they can close them all the way and sleep inside like a tent, which they enjoy. I tried others from the internet, but they were too small to close, whereas these are perfect and the fabric is so soft. br>br>On a related note- I assumed the rose brick color would be a rusty red based on the photos, but it definitely has pink undertones, so it did not work for a boys' room as I had hoped. However, the gray ones are super cute and not too dark. Love it!.
This purchase has made me extremely happy! I was a little worried because of the mixed reviews, but it turned out to be a fantastic purchase! We used a different wall hook than the one that came with it because the one that came with it fell off the ceiling in the middle of the night and landed on my daughter (thank goodness the bed frame was there to catch it). It also has a very large canopy, which I really like!.
This was purchased as a birthday present for my daughter. The package arrived in black plastic with a small sticker slapped on it, without any fancy wrapping. There are no pictures or packaging describing what she will receive. As a result, she had no idea what to expect when she opened the gift bag. br>When we installed it, everything appeared to be in order; it looked good and was simple to set up. She requested one that was dark on the inside; the description stated that it would block out light, so I thought it would be ideal. This is not the case. My initial reaction should have been that it was poorly constructed. My daughter was sleeping six days after it was put up when her leg became entangled in the bottom. She's only six years old and is of average build, but pulling her leg while sleeping was enough to rip the top in four places. They designed the top with the least amount of care and at the lowest possible cost. They stitch with thread that is no thicker than a strand of hair and is SINGLE STITCHED. It assembles similarly to a pizza, albeit one with only four slices. br>br>Have you ever noticed how when you buy a Halloween costume, they only use enough stitching to make it last one night? It all comes crashing down after that. That's exactly how it's done, but we only have a week.
Update: This canopy was simply not strong enough to withstand the elements. When it first began to rip around the rim, I assumed she was being too rough with it. Her grandmother was the one who sewed it for her. Shortly after that, it ripped the ties right off. I'd call it a lost cause at this point. She's upset because she really liked it. This is not something I would recommend for kids under the age of eighteen. 10? 12? br>br>I purchased this for my four-year-old daughter. Renovating the room of my 5-year-old daughter. She got a purple paint job, new bedding, and a fantastic canopy for her room. I'm envious, and I wish this was available in a king size bed. It has a warm and inviting appearance.
The color and feel of the material are both excellent, and it is a soft, stretchy fabric. This was bought for my son's reading nook in his room. I intended to buy more of these for my niece and daughters. I assumed my son would rip the canopy from the ceiling or break the plastic hook that came with it. He'd be my product's beta tester, I reasoned. It ripped right where the string ties to the canopy's top, which surprised me. I'm going to repair the stitching and add some elastic to the top of the canopy where the strings attach. He'd sat on the canopy's bottom and leaned backwards, causing it to snap. When the canopy broke, he wasn't roughhousing in it. I'm extremely disappointed. Because the material is lovely and he adores it, I'm going to repair it. We bought curtain fairy lights, as well as a rug and pillows, to put inside the canopy. We've invested far too much in his reading nook to back out now. If you buy this canopy, I recommend adding the extra stitching before putting it up.
In concept, it was lovely, but it tore easily. They arrived on a Friday. I had asked for a refund by Monday. They both tore in unexpected places, and it wasn't due to wear and tear or anything. It was strewn across the beds of my adolescent sons and daughters.
Because none of them matched the color in the photo, I ended up ordering three different canopies at different times. It says gray blue, but it's more of a baby blue and lacks the tassels shown in the photo. It was extremely simple to set up- Considering how light the fabric is and how the colors never match the images portrayed, even though I didn't end up using what they included, I'm too tired (and pregnant) to keep looking or dealing with more returns, so I'll keep the blue one. Just keep in mind that the colors don't match the photos.
It's enormous! The material is soft, and the color is lighter than the picture, making it more appropriate for the space. It's a little see-through, but that's not a big deal. It's extremely long and wide. He'll be able to read books in the privacy of his own home! I wish there was a slit in the top of the canopy or some small hoops inside the ring so I could hang lights from it to take it to the next level. To get rid of the wrinkles, you should wash or steam it. Aside from that, it's fantastic, and I'd purchase it again! Exceptional value for the money!br>br>Update: Because I tripped on the bottom and it ripped at the top this week, I had to change my rating! The fabric ripped even though I didn't trip or pull too hard on it! So now I have to re-sew it! The ease with which it ripped astounded me!.
