It looks fine because I have a white duvet insert in it, but a dark color would definitely show through.
The cover is square in shape, but if you want your zipper to go down to your feet, the stripes will be horizontal.

My king comforter fits perfectly and is beautiful, cozy, and at an unbeatable price. The color appears to me to be a mix of taupe and gray, with more gray against other gray items and more taupe around browner colors.
If I had the option, I would give this a zero-star rating, so here are the benefits and drawbacks of the bedding. Advantages: br>br> br>It is inexpensive. That's all I have to say on the subject. br>It only took two days for it to arrive. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>It has a cheap feel to it. You could get an entire bedding set from Walmart for $50. br>However, this is neither comfortable nor soft. It has a rough, scratchy texture to it. I've included a close-up of the materials so you can avoid buying this sham of a bed. br>There is an odor that we can't place. Before you handle it, make sure it's clean. It smells like rotten tomatoes and dirt. br>The only bed I'd put this on is someone I don't care for. br>br>Just don't buy it.
It appears to be exactly what I expected. Other reviewers have stated that it is not soft and that it is suitable for a guest room but not for everyday use. Do they sleep on cotton balls all the time? Air? This has a similar feel to starched cotton, but it's a little softer. People, this isn't about microfiber. The loops on the inside corners can simply be looped around the corner of your comforter several times, as if they were a ponytail. The value and quality are present for less than $40. It has made me very happy. Are you serious? br>br>And for those who think it came with a comforter, are you serious? 😂.
It was simple to put together, and I like the bottom zipper closure. It washed well, and I would recommend it for the price. br>It's a little lighter than it appears in the photo, but the style and stripes are identical.
It added just the right amount of rustic charm to my farmhouse-style bedroom. It appears to be a little smaller than my other duvet covers. I think the duvet cover should have vertical stripes instead of horizontal stripes, but that's a minor quibble. The softness is why I didn't give it five stars. This isn't a particularly plush cover. I didn't even put it on my down comforter and am only using it as a decorative piece because it isn't soft enough to sleep with.
It is 100% cotton and only cotton and only cotton However, one of the white stripes had a small dot of rust on it right out of the bag. It isn't a significant issue. The wrinkles, on the other hand, were my main concern! It can be washed in cold water and dried on low heat, according to the description. That's what I did before putting it on my bed. I spent the entire night attempting to remove the wrinkles from this garment! And I don't have an agitator in my high-efficiency washer! There was no way to get rid of the wrinkles, no matter how much time I spent in the dryer. Nope, I washed it again and hung it to dry. I'm returning it!.
I ordered the navy striped duvet cover, which is a great value. It's made of cotton and has the slightly wrinkled look I wanted. It also looks very modern. The shams are of a European design.
All in all, this is a fantastic collection. "Green stripes," I thought as soon as I opened the package. It's neither a true gray nor a taupe in color. There is a slight green undertone to it. It's a straightforward collection. I didn't mind that the'shams' were actually pillow cases because I already had two shams. I like how straightforward it is. I haven't washed it yet because the tag specifies that it should be hung to dry. That was something I couldn't do because I didn't have time. This week, they'll almost certainly be washed and dried. I like how things have changed.
