Questions & Answers
Yes, the pillows were compressed when they arrived.
An 18" x 18" insert would be my choice.
They're just forms that go inside a pillowcase, no more. My pillowcase covers, which I purchased from Amazon as well, have a zipper.
Yes, these can be washed in the machine, but you won't be able to get the insides as clean as the outsides because they are truly water resistant. These are intended to be used in conjunction with the zip pillow covers in your choice of color, which are machine washable and the only part of this that should be washed.

See the image for a dissatisfying result. Pros - These pillows have a slightly thicker lining than the ones I'm replacing. br>EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTRE It's self-evident that they had to cut costs somewhere in order to sell them for less than the competition. They could not have picked a worse way to increase their earnings. My cushions look sad, cheap, and uneven because these pillows are not fully stuffed and filled around all four corners. br>I ordered eight pillows, and every single one has the same flaw. I bought the ones I'm replacing on Etsy, but they needed to be replaced after 7 years outside. br>I'll keep them for a few weeks to see if I can adjust to the new sad appearance - If not, these will be returned. If you want to avoid the hassle of returning them and the disappointment that comes with it, spend a little more money.
These pillows came in vacuum-sealed bags and, contrary to some reviews, were never fluffed. The fabric is cool to the touch, odorless, and not too thin. However, it is insufficient to fill the pillowcases. They're small and flat to begin with.
These pillows are so bad that they're hilarious. I followed the advice of other reviewers and purchased 18" pillowcases for my 16" pillowcases, but I should have purchased the 20" pillows instead. They are incredibly thin and do not fluff at all, as everyone else has stated; in other words, you get exactly what you pay for. I bought these to use as throw pillows outside, so returning them would be a waste of money for me, but do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars on something else. These are downright pitiful.
They appear to be a little light on the filling, but you get what you pay for. They'll all work out in the end. I can't comment on the water resistance because I haven't used them yet, but they appear to have solid seams and will be protected by a waterproof cover. I wish they were a little fluffier, but I think I'll sew a seam and stuff them a little more.
These are adequate; they arrive compressed and expand upon opening. I fluffed them up by running them through the dryer for a few minutes. You can order a size larger if you want them to fill the pillowcase out more, but these did the job for me.
The center of these pillow inserts is fluffy, but there is no Fiberfill in the corners. I attempted but failed to move the fiberfill to the corners. They aren't exactly 18x18" either, according to my measurements (see photo). They are, however, water resistant, as I discovered when I tested them with a few drops of water. The insert is shown in the last photo in an 18x18" pillow case, but it does not completely fill the case. I'm undecided about returning or trying to fill the corners with more fiberfill on my own.
I suppose the problem I'm having is that none of the corners are filled. They aren't rounded. So far, I haven't been successful in distilling the material down to them. They are, however, about what I expected for the price. They'll get the job done.
Despite the mixed reviews, I decided to purchase these pillows and am happy with my decision. Because the pillows are a little small, it's best to order a size up from your cases, or to order cases in a smaller size. The 18x18 pillows and 18x18 cases were purchased from separate sellers. I've included a photo to show how the pillows (the Halloween cartoon ones and the orange buffalo check ones) fit the cases well enough to work, but they don't fill them. Despite this, I'm still happy with the price. When it's time to put the holiday ones away, I'll just order smaller cases for them now. If I want a stuffed case, I'll have to come up with something.
