The covers should be 22x22. They were the right size for a tight fit, having an outside dimension of 20x20
A pillow form should ideally be an inch bigger than the cover all around.
With 20" and 18" covers, I tried inserts in the 20" size in each. As expected, it makes for much plumper 18" pillows, but being feather/down filled, the cushions still compress easily under pressure, so I am not sure it is "extra firm" support wise. The pillows do fluff beautifully and hold their shape well in both cover sizes. This is a very comfortable shoe for me.

I placed an order for another 2 pairs of 26" plus 2 pairs of 18" as soon as I unboxed the first pair. My goal is to have a total of 10 feather/down pillows by the end of the week. They will be covered as well as the 3 large chop pillows shown on the bed (taupe), because I recently ordered them. These covers come in two colors taupe and black. There are so many different styles and they are so fun that they elevate the look of my bedding and living room setting!.
The pillow is great, but keep in mind there are only two inserts included when you choose the smaller insert size. Initially, I thought I was getting two inserts for the $28 I paid. Because I wanted two decorative pillows for my bed and only received one, I have placed another order for one more to match. The swing is expensive for me. I spent $28 on two covers already. I didn't really want to spend $60 for inserts. I find that to be a lot of money for pillows to be used only occasionally. There is, however, a price to pay for everything. They fit perfectly inside my 26x26 covers. I purchased two 28x28 to go inside and they fit perfectly inside. Whenever possible, you want to buy inserts a size larger than your cover, otherwise you won't be pleased with them. As they are incredibly comfortable and chop perfectly, I opted for the more expensive down inserts because that is what I was going for and that is what I wanted.
Pillows made of feathers are my favorite. When I am shopping for pillows, I usually go to a ton of stores before I find one I like. These pillows have not been appealing to me, so I reluctantly bought them. It's great to have them around! It's very comfortable to sit on them. A few feathers stick out, but not too many. It is made from thin material that is Those fit perfectly in the 24 x 24 pillow cases I purchased.
To see if I wanted to size up, I bought 20" inserts to try them out on the 18" covers I had. I have attached pictures on both (20" on the L side, 18" on the R side). It is my preference to use the 20" insert in the 20" In addition to ordering the 18" inserts for the remaining 18" and 16" covers, I will also order the 24" inserts.
It's like lying on or sitting on a bed of pins and needles while using these pillows. It is the sharp ends of the feathers that are able to cut through the fabric and irritate the skin. They were not wanted by anyone. Their contents were disposed of.
That's a lot of feathers they have! This is due to the fact that my dog recently decided he needed to know what my new pillows were up to so I came home to little feathers everywhere.
In the reviews, I read that the pillows smell, and they certainly Despite the fact that they smelled like a chicken coop, I read in the reviews that they were washed. Pillows made of down and feathers become more expensive with every wash that manufacturers do. Then, I did a double rinse, then wash these in the dishwasher on the sanitation cycle, rinsing them in bleach. After that I put them in my dryer on high for 3 hours. They turned out wonderfully and look great The smell is not there. It does smell a little when I use down in my pillows, as most down pillows do. For the price, you can't go wrong with these pillows, but you must wash them first.
I was glad I did since they are very nice. I threw them in the dryer and they came out fluffy, in perfect order, and just what I wanted for my bedroom.
