Can you suggest a store where I could buy a pillow that will fit this cover? I'm not sure how big it needs to be. ?

Stick to the cover's dimensions. I would look for fabrics at Ross, Wal Mart, or JoAnn's. In the past, I've done internet searches for them and they've worked out well as long as the pillow's dimensions don't exceed the pillow cover's dimensions.

Is this supposed to be a pillowcase?

Now everything is perfect. The colors, which are deep, rich tones, are not reflected in the photo. I washed it in cold water and used delicate settings. dry, which gave the fabric the perfect amount of softness.

I don't have a cushion for it yet, so I can't comment on its durability, but it appears to be well-stitched and should be comfortable once a cushion is added.

The colors aren't exactly as they appear in the picture

This is a very unattractive creature. In the photo, all of the cream lines are a dirty grey. The red has a strong orange tint to it. The entire scene is darker and duller than depicted. I decided to keep it as a craft project and began by painting the dirty grey cream as shown in the photo, which will most likely brighten it up.

It is not always the case that less expensive is better

The only reason I gave it two stars is because I liked the design and it was reasonably priced in comparison to other options. The zipper on one side was broken, but that wasn't a big deal because there were two. The quality of the content is inadequate. It ripped at the seam after less than a week. (Though I do have two dogs and two children. ) I did sew it up with my sewing machine and haven't had any problems yet, but I'm not sure how long it will last.
