SHOP fires are something I'm not sure about. This unique sherpa, on the other hand, can put out SHIP fires!
I've had mine for almost four years and while it hasn't lumped up, the Sherpa side doesn't feel as good as it once did; it's kind of stuck together and no longer soft, but the rest has held up admirably.

I was excited for the comfort and happy for the price when I received this Sherpa comforter, but the pillow had a rip along the zipper and would not close properly, so I ordered a replacement, thinking it was a fluke. The second comforter is soiled all over. I anticipate stains and tears as you own and use it, rather than when you order it. Two stars because it was tender; unfortunately, it did not work out.
This comforter was purchased as a present for my aging parents. It is extremely popular among them. My mother can't say enough about how grateful she is that I bought them this comforter. It's light, warm, soft, and easy to wash, according to Mom. It's also a dream to sleep under. This is something I'm glad I bought for them. I'm their favorite daughter now. Oh wait. I am the only child of my parents!.
I removed it from the package, washed it, photographed it, and am now laying it in the sheets. It's so soft and fluffy! They've held up well in the wash and are extremely soft. I also like the pillowcases that came with it. Excellent as a gift or for personal use!.
As shown in the image. The king is as comfortable as the queen. This is a lovely collection. It's a big hit with my college-age son. I haven't washed it yet; I usually do so right before putting bedding items on the bed, but he grabbed it and put it on before I could. There was no odor of any kind from the chemicals. The set appears to be exactly as depicted in the photograph. The pillow cases will not be able to hold king-sized pillows, as others have stated. In the cases, I used standard/queen pillows, which fit perfectly. I paid $3 for the pillows. They're 99 each at Target because they're more for show than for sleeping on. In addition, I purchased the king set for a queen bed because other reviewers stated that the comforter fits a queen bed better. That is unquestionably the case, so thank you to everyone who came before me and offered those suggestions.
I was ecstatic when I received the product. I removed all of the items from the packaging and found that my order was in perfect condition. When I went to put pillows in the pillow cases, I discovered that one had a border sewn around the edge for a good fit with a pillow, but the sewing had a lot of strands that weren't sewn into the case, leaving loose strands of fabric all over the place. After noticing this, I went to put a pillow in the other case that came with the package, only to discover that the other case had no border sewing at all, leaving the pillow swimming around inside the case. I assumed the comforter was in good condition and that I could simply buy pillow cases and accept my loss, but after putting it on the bed, we discovered a bunch of torn fibers in the purple soft side of the comforter as well (see photos). After all of that, the fabric is extremely soft, the comforter doesn't get too hot at night, and all I wish is that the product arrived in good condition because I love what I was sent.
I bought this as a gift and was embarrassed when I saw the condition of the comforter after about four months. Use for 5 weeks. The threads on the ends of the material separated as I sat on it, and the material fell apart. The material in the middle has a number of small separations in it due to normal wear and tear. I gave it to an elderly lady who maintains a spotless home and takes excellent care of her belongings. It's a pity because she liked the item and attempted to sew it but failed. It's a pity, because it's a pleasant and appealing sight to behold. Not a happy camper, to say the least. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I received a new comforter from Amazon two days after contacting them about this item! Now- That's an excellent level of customer service!.
It's soft and comfortable, but it's far too small to fit my king-size bed. My sheets are still visible all the way around.
This is not the right comforter for you if you want something light. It's not overly bulky, but it keeps you toasty warm. Because the fabric is soft and neutral, it can be combined with a wide range of patterns and textures.
