This blanket is lovely until it begins to leak tiny pebbles all over your bed. I discovered a large hole in one of the corners, and the furry side is of poor quality fabric, allowing the weighted sand to leak out. It's been about two months since I got this blanket.
Wow. This is by far the most comfortable blanket I've ever owned, and I own quite a few. It wraps you up in a warm cocoon. It has a wonderful soft texture.
I washed mine on the cold and delicate setting and dried it on the Lowe temperature setting with no issues. br>br>And it's so soft and comfortable that I didn't have any trouble sleeping on it. br>br>The weighted beads are strewn about the blanket in small pouches. The underside is also soft. br>br> br>br>It's warm but not too hot, so if you're using it in the winter, you might want to invest in an extra blanket. br>br>As I wear the fur, I'll keep you updated on how it's holding up.
The shaggy side of the blanket had such a sparse weave that you could clearly see the weave underneath. It's very unsightly because the weave beneath it is shiny plastic. The photo gives the impression that the shaggy side is full and fluffy, but it is not. I'd have a hard time finding a shot that didn't reveal the weave underneath. The underside is fine; it works well as a weighted blanket, and I'm not going to put it on display when I have visitors so I can deal with the ugliness. Because there was no labeling on the package, I was concerned that it might be a returned item.
I noticed shedding of the fake fur and beads spilling out as soon as I put the blanket on the bed. Don't believe the other reviews about how this blanket sheds and makes a mess of your bed. I immediately returned and placed an order for a more expensive blanket to prevent any leakage.
It still felt great, but with the "less" weight, it wasn't quite as reassuring. For some, this may be an advantage. br>br>I like that the blanket can be washed and dried, unlike the glass bead blanket I had previously (which is why I had to purchase a new one!). )br>br>I absolutely adore it!.
The majority of weighted blankets are rough, so you'll need a cover to keep them soft against your skin. This one isn't like the others. One side is extremely soft, while the other is soft but furrier. At the same time, the blanket keeps you snug, warm, and comfortable. My legs hurt at night when it's cold, so I need a weighted blanket in the winter. The use of a weighted blanket can help to relieve aches and pains. I wanted to be ready for fall because I misplaced my old one during our move and didn't want to be without one. This is a one-person blanket because sharing a weighted blanket is difficult, and it is only large enough for one person. I also use it to unwind on the couch while my legs are propped up on the reclining section. It has a nice gray color to it and is well-made.
It's not quite a burrito, but it's close. able, to put it that way. I have to lay it over me like a piece of doctor's office paper and not move, or the weight will slip a limb free. This could easily have been avoided if I had purchased a larger (and therefore more expensive) size. In the future, I may purchase a larger/wider one. I have muscle aches from carrying the weight and moving, but it's like swaddling an adult in a good way. My lazy muscles ache in the morning, so I know I toss and turn a lot. The weight gives me a sense of security.
