Questions & Answers
Yes! We bought a 5 pound blanket for my 2 1/2 year old (30 pounds) and it has helped him sleep better at night.
Wash in a regular machine!
It can be washed in water, but using a high spin machine on a regular basis may shorten the blanket's lifespan.
I'm not sure why, but I enjoy my blanket and sleep better as a result of it.

He couldn't be soothed or calmed, and by the time he was two years old, he was completely uncontrollable. We had noticed that he was becoming more aggressive. When my daughter started preschool, I was making progress with him, and we were able to form some bonds. When we were around other kids/parents, I was hopeful but also worried about how his behavior might affect his future friendships. My mother is an occupational therapist, so she was certain he wasn't on the autism spectrum. But I was having sensory issues, as I have insomnia and am sometimes overwhelmed by too much sensory input. I remembered my mother bringing home weighted blankets from work to help me sleep, and how wonderful they were. We ordered this blanket about two months ago, and I can't tell you how much has changed since then. I began by rocking him to sleep under the blanket, and within a week or two, he was sound asleep. I can cover him with his blanket and he will fall asleep by himself. It used to take at least an hour to get him to sleep. br>However, the most noticeable change has been in his demeanor; I'm not sure if it's due to the consistent rest he's receiving or something else. My sweet boy, on the other hand, has become more calm, and his aggressive behavior has ceased. He used to try to hit our dog all day. I, on the other hand, spent the entire day yelling at him. If he and my daughter have a disagreement now, he will remember to be gentle. If he hurts her or takes a toy by accident, he quickly apologizes and offers a hug. He prefers to actively share and seek playtime with his sister most of the time. He's also forming strong bonds with my mother, sister, and, most importantly, me. I’m not sure if’s this blanket 100% to point to for these developments- However, I am aware that it was instrumental in its inception. Obviously, I enthusiastically endorse this product. Thank you:.
This is something that my husband despises. It's a good thing it's not for him, because the kids absolutely adore it! Despite the fact that it weighs only five pounds, it feels quite substantial. It's not a lot, but it'll suffice for a waste down blanket. Because it gets quite hot, I only wear it in the summer on my feet and up to my knees. It's perfect for the cold season. This is something that all of my children are eager to use. Our four-year-old with OCD and our eight-year-old with anxiety are both calmed by it. This is an excellent purchase. My blanket appears to be fairly evenly weighted, with a slight difference in the corners, but this does not bother my children. It's been dragged around the house for a few months now with no damage, thanks to its excellent construction. Squares are a good size, about four inches in diameter. My hair is dark gray and does not appear to be dirty. It's possible to clean them. Please mark this review as helpful if you enjoyed it. Thanks.
m. every night, begging to sleep in my bed, so I bought this. He slept all night and didn't wake up the first night he slept with the blanket! Now I'm in desperate need of one.
69-year-old female, 2, 113 lb year- frame from the past This child's blanket is ideal because it adds just the right amount of weight to the situation. It's easy for me to move it from the bed to the sofa. Because it only covers my side of the bed, it's the perfect size. br>The materials and construction are of good quality, and it does not bother my husband.
She's been a bad sleeper since she was a child. She sleeps with me and frequently flails and thrashes in the middle of the night. br>br>This has helped her settle down quickly, and I throw it back on her when she starts tossing in the middle of the night. (She sleeps with all blankets thrown off. )br>br>Absolutely will be purchasing all larger sizes as she grows out of them.
I have 15-pound weighted blankets, but I didn't want to bring them to therapy. This one weighs 5 pounds and is a throw size. I bought a duvet cover to keep the weighted blanket from having to be dry cleaned.
I wish it was a little bigger. This was purchased for my 8-year-old son, who has difficulty sleeping. He's not going to stay in his bed, either. I haven't noticed much of a difference in the last week or so, but he is staying in bed but still wakes up in the middle of the night or early in the morning. It was also a good deal when compared to other places I looked. Edit: This blanket is far too small to keep him warm at night. The size we chose was twin. I wish I could get a larger size, but I can't because I'm too heavy.
I purchased the single size, which was similar to a lap blanket. It had been fantastic. My legs were encircled by it. There was no need for me to make any changes. I'm glad I didn't go with a bigger size. It's something I could see myself using in my room. I'm in my recliner right now. It's a little heavier than I anticipated, so it might not be suitable for use in the summer. I currently reside in the state of Florida.
