Full/queen comforters are typically 84x88 inches in size, while queen comforters are usually 90x90 inches in size. The top only of a queen mattress measures 60x80 inches, with no overhang and no allowances for the bumps that each person makes under the blanket. Many weighted blanket companies appear to be using this 60x80 measurement as their version of queen size. A customer on Amazon responded that 60x80 is closer to a twin comforter, and they are correct... 60x80 is actually smaller than a twin bedspread, which should be 60x86 and allow 12" overhang on both sides of the twin mattress, as well as 12" overhang at the bottom and flush with the top of the twin mattress. I was hesitant to use it on my 1-year-old daughter, who weighed 18 pounds. So I took the weight part out of the fleece and have been using it exclusively until I feel safe enough to use the weight part.
