I use hot water instead of cold when I wash. I sanitize it before drying it, and I wash and dry it once a week in the washer on its own. The only issue I've had is that this blanket appears to hold detergent, but it still looks and feels great. I use very little detergent, but it always has too many suds, so I wash it again with no detergent, but there are still suds. I have an HE washer, and I use the same HE detergent for everything I wash, so I know it's not that. When I wash it next week, I'm going to see what happens if I don't use any detergent at all. I'm hoping the suds go away because they can't be good for my washing machine. This blanket has been in my possession for over a year. I really like it, so I'm hoping I won't have to look for anything else.
I bought four of these blankets and am very pleased with them. There was no pilling or fuzzing, and it was light but cozy. I'm only going to buy this blanket.
I've had mine for about a year, and it gets washed every week because it sleeps two adults and two small dogs. It isn't going to get any smaller.
I own both the red and blue king-size blankets and have had no issues with them. I wash and dry them by myself due to their large size, but there has been no shedding. These blankets have been in my possession for almost a year, and I am extremely pleased with them! We use them as an extra blanket on the beds when it's cold outside and on the couches for movie nights. A fantastic purchase!

Wednesday, July 23, 2016: *Sigh*. It occurred once more. Because of the relatively LOW PRICE, I purchased a "moderate" quality item that is serviceable. Then, after I give it five stars, the price skyrockets to a point where I can no longer recommend it. I paid $14, to be precise. This Throw Blanket costs $99 and is made of 100% cotton. The quality is MEDIOCRE, but it gets the job done, and at $14, it's a good deal. It was a good deal at $99, to be sure. br>br>However, I've just noticed that the price has risen to $45. ONLY BECAUSE YOU CAN STILL GET THIS FOR $14, I'm keeping my 5-star rating. IF YOU KEEP SEARCHING, YOU WILL REACH NUMBER 99. However, please, please, please do not pay $45. This will cost you 00. It's a cheap piece of microfiber that's soft and warm, but at $45, it's not worth it. 00, you can get a truly unique item. I had been looking for a nice blanket to go on my bed (as a throw to drape on the bottom), and when I saw this in a lightning deal, I felt compelled to buy it because of that pesky timer (you know the one that tells you your time is running out to get the deal). I 100% believe I could have held out and found a better option for the same price or a little more than this but hey it is too late now. And, to be honest, what do you think? It will be well worth the $11 if it only lasts a few months and remains this soft. 1. br>br> 5 out of 5 stars There are no complaints in this department because it is the perfect throw size. br>2. Color: 5 of 5. Everything was exactly as shown in the picture. Grey is the ideal color.
3. Coziness and softness- ness: 5 of 5. It's incredibly soft, to the point where I can't stop touching it. I probably shouldn't adore a blanket as much as I do this one in terms of softness.
4. Dimensions of thickness: 4 of 5. Because I didn't want a thick throw, this one works out perfectly. But it's the kind of thin that makes you think it's poorly made or of lower quality. I'm concerned that it won't hold up.
5. Craftsmanship and/or quality: 4 of 5. There are no flaws in the stitching at all, and I haven't found any. However, due to the material, I am unable to give it a five-star rating because I believe it will appear worn/used more than it should after a few washes. br>br>Overall, it's extremely soft and thin, making it ideal for use as a throw. I don't think it's thick enough to keep you warm overnight if you bought it as bedding (twin/queen/etc). It's not fleece or flannel (as the packaging claims), but it's as soft as sherpa without the bulk. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase for $11, but I would not pay $15 for this blanket. We'll see how it holds up in the long run. br>br>Update: This is where I tell you that my predictions were completely wrong because this throw blanket is still hanging out at the end of my bed after MANY washes. However, since my 10-year-old daughter is a blanket thief and has stolen this one (along with the 5-year-old's) this isn't entirely accurate. I've bought 8 others before and after this one. I have no idea where she keeps them or why she needs so many) because "it's so much softer than all the others," she says. Despite the fact that it appears to be "cheap," this throw is a beast. Despite being washed at least twice a month, it remains as soft as ever, with no holes or defects.
When I first got this blanket, I held it up to my face and exclaimed, "It's so fluffy, I'm going to die!" 'I laughed out loud. ' I used it as a throw in my office to brighten up the guest chair. br>br>I had no idea that my exclamation would turn out to be prophetic. My furbaby was almost too relaxed the next day for me to remember to breathe. Regardless, he refuses to leave the almost womb-like state he is in. This thing, which is the blanket equivalent of Flexaril, has a softness and warmth to it that I like. br>br>I'm not sure how I'm going to get him out of this. I'm afraid I'll have to let him go. When I first purchased this blanket in 2015, there were only a few dozen reviews on Amazon. I'm overjoyed to see how quickly this product has risen in popularity. I've had mine for three years, and all I can say is that it has held up well, maintaining its ultra-soft velvety texture. The navy color hasn't faded, and the high-quality stitching hasn't come undone. There are no loose seams. It's a thin blanket, but it's kept me warm in all kinds of weather. This blanket served as a temporary replacement for my comforter whenever I washed it, and it kept me warm even on cold winter nights when the temperature in my room dropped below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. I'd highly recommend picking this up, whether you need an extra throw blanket or something to use on a daily basis.
