The square risers were not purchased by me, but I believe they would be appropriate for your application. A dangerous situation could arise if the table or bed is raised too high.
It all depends on whether the couch's bottom is solid or not, as well as its weight. The risers are sturdy and solid. I used them to raise a wood entertainment center off the ground, and they're still holding up well.
I wouldn't put them together in a stack.
I'm not sure, but rubbing alcohol usually works to remove sticky, gooey substances. Begin at a corner and work your way towards the center. There's also GooOff, which might not be flammable and is perfectly safe to use. Best of luck!

I have a large sectional sofa with eight plastic, flat-bottomed feet that are unusually wide and triangular in shape (5. 5" x 5. 5" x 8"). This made it difficult to find risers that were compatible, but I'm pleased with the results. The adhesive is strong; just make sure the bottoms of your furniture's feet are thoroughly cleaned and dried before applying them to ensure a secure fit. Their felt bottoms make it easy for furniture to slide around on hardwood floors, so if you want them to stay put, consider adding some rubber to the bottoms.
The adhesive began to come loose over time, and the risers began to protrude from beneath the bed legs. Now I have to take everything out of my bed that is still there. As a result, the storage space that they provided is no longer available.

These are incredible. I put them on by myself, but you might want to enlist the help of a friend because once they stick, they stay put.
Due to the horseshoe design of the table legs, I needed six of these risers for a shorter family room table. We were very pleased with how sturdy the table is, and the risers blended in so well that they appear to be part of the table legs on their own.
