No, it isn't at all unpleasant! This is one of the most comfortable pillows I've ever had. I've been sleeping on these pillows for almost two years; yes, they flatten out, but if you do a little chopping with your hands before sleeping, they will revert to their original shape! This method has been tried and true!
I washed mine once in cold water and dried it on a low heat setting, and it didn't appear to be damaged.
You'd figure out why if you used them. The pillows are the most comfortable I've ever slept on.
No, these pillows are extremely puffy/firm and not at all squishy. I sleep on my side, and my head barely makes a dent in this pillow. I couldn't sleep on it for more than two nights because it kept my neck at an uncomfortable angle. The discomfort in my neck was excruciating. I told my husband about it, and he had the same problem. Then I handed it over to my daughter, who didn't last more than two nights. It's shaped like a rock in the middle, surrounded by pillow fluff.

THESE PILLOWS MUST BE PURCHASED! Before I bought these pillows, I had been suffering from insomnia for the previous two weeks. I thought I'd tried everything to get rid of my insomnia, except prescription medications, and I was always tired at work. When I got home from work, I'd fall asleep several times during the day. My sleeping pillows were not particularly uncomfortable, but they also didn't win any comfort awards. To help with the insomnia, I decided to get more comfortable comforter sets for my bed and thought I'd try a new type of pillow. Since the first night I slept on these pillows, I've been sleeping like a baby. These are the most comfortable pillows I've ever slept on; they're super soft but provide firm support when positioned correctly. They haven't flattened out after being used - I'm a snorer who can't get a good night's rest. I reposition the pillow when I turn over in bed, and it's just as fluffy as it was when I first shook it out of its bag! They're the fluffiest pillows I've ever seen. Those who claim the pillows are flat should "shake vigorously for five minutes" after opening them. But I didn't shake them for more than a minute. For about 3 minutes, I fluffed them, then shook them, fluffed them, then shook them, and so on. I'm SO GLAD I went ahead and bought the gel pillows! I expected them to be perplexed - I'm referring to pillows that contain GEL. They are, however, extremely enjoyable! I ended up with a total of eight points. BUY THESE PILLOWS IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT.
These pillows were recently delivered to me. Because they are vacuum sealed, they swell up when you open the package. According to the instructions, it could take up to 24 hours to reach full size; however, I was exhausted and fell asleep peacefully within two hours. If you want something firmer, look elsewhere. They appear to be of good quality. In addition, I bought new folder cases and protectors. Oh, and my Shi Poo was the first to get to the pillow, sinking into it like it was his new bed. It's a good thing the order was for two because he'll get the extra! I'm pleased with my purchase, and thank you for the quick Prime shipping.
I was told to expect pillows sucked into a bag and to fluff them up over night, but this was not the case. The pillows received air as soon as I let air into each bag. It's as if you're a deep diver approaching the surface of the water. These pillows are incredible, and you should purchase a few for yourself to see for yourself.
When I opened the package, these pillows were too soft and didn't puff up as much as I needed. Other than that, the quality appears to be good, and they are soft, but they are too flat for my needs. If you don't need something super fluffy, they did fill up a king pillowcase enough to get by. One pillow is still in the package in the photo, while the other has been out for a while, and you can see how little the pillows fluffed up once they were removed from the packaging.
These are for king shams, so I bought them. They were completely ineffective. They are simply lacking in structure. I made my decision based on the side sleeper and back sleeper photos in the description, both of which require a firm pillow. These aren't very stable. I should've read the description instead of looking at the pictures in the description. They're supposed to be good for stomach sleepers who need a soft pillow, according to the description. One star for my intended use, one star for the misleading photos in the description, and one star for the photos and description's contradictory information. If you prefer a "smushy" pillow for sleeping, this pillow gets five stars for quality and comfort. Three stars out of five. Instead of using them in my shams, I'll use them for sleeping and replace the shams with something new.
These are some of the most comfortable pillows I've ever had the pleasure of using. They look and feel like pillows from a four-star hotel, and they're well worth the money whether you buy them together or separately.
This product's quality, in my opinion, was only average. Pillows that were larger and more full were not what I expected. These pillows sink in flat, lose their shape quickly, and are clearly not hotel-quality. Maybe my expectations are too high. These pillows were purchased to fill decorative king-size shams, not to be used as sleeping pillows. They are, however, ineffective in both situations. They are about 6 to 8 inches short of completely filling the sham, and their inability to maintain shape causes the sham to fall flat and appear silly. I fluffed by hand as directed, and when I wasn't satisfied, I put it in the dryer as directed. But neither produced any results that I liked. This product may be the right fit for you if you prefer a traditional feather pillow that sinks flat or wads up easily to sleep on. However, it isn't up to par in every other way.
We've only had a couple of days with them. My husband adores his, but the pillow caused me excruciating neck pain on the first night. Last night, I used it for the first time, and it was much better. Let's see how things turn out. They puff-puff-puff-puff-puff-puff-puff-puff-puff-puff-puff- They don't flatten completely when you lay on them and appear to be supportive; however, I'm a stomach sleeper, so it might not be right for you.
