With a firm wedge pillow, you can adjust its angle to meet your needs. It is better to use button snaps than velcro attachments from other brands. The fabric (machine washable) is very soft, making it a very comfortable shirt. It feels like it will last a long time. A great purchase.
As a support for me after abdominal surgery and for sleeping on my back, I bought this. This pillow and other pillows like it have received mixed reviews. I was extremely nervous before I purchased them. The one I received inflated to fullness in just a few minutes and wasn't damaged or deformed when shipped in a vacuum bag. The pillow has not flattened, pancaked, or sunken in at all, even after being used around the clock for a week by me, even since I'm five foot seven and 200 pounds. While also being soft, it's also a bit rough. My Casper mattress feels very comfortable on it, just like an extension of it. The ability for me to adjust the level of recline and reposition the neck pillow as well as use my own pillows is a plus. It has a very pleasant feel to it. After airing it outside for 3 days, I still can't eliminate the chemical smell and after a few days, I start having itchy skin.
Buying this mattress before my FtM top surgery was part of my plan to prevent me from rolling onto my side at night. To try to sleep on my back with my normal pillow has always been painful and impossible for me because I've always been a side sleeper. I have been able to be perfectly comfortable in the position that I need to be in order for my recovery from surgery to go smoothly with this bed wedge set. Although it is incredibly soft, it provides support where it is needed. I bought this thing ahead of a hip arthroscopy as I knew I would be in bed a lot and wanted to make sure I would be comfortable. There are no words to describe how amazing this thing was.
