In September of 2018, I bought these sheets. I've seen a couple of other reviews from around the same time period with the same experience, so it's possible it was just a bad fluke for us. This, on the other hand, was terrifying. I didn't wash them before putting them on the bed because I was too cheap to pay for them to be washed, and I'll never do that again. We decided to wash them after noticing some scratching. Although the sheets themselves were of good quality, this was an extremely costly, disgusting, and terrifying purchase. Purchase these items at your own risk. Allow this image to make you want to vomit and look for something else to look at.
Although the material is extremely soft, which I adore, the sheets are extremely "flimsy. " The sheets do not stay "tight" around the mattress, which I purchased for our king-size bed. Despite the fact that the sheets' pockets are deep. When I go to make the bed, the fitted sheet is wrinkled and I have to pull it taut with my hands. I grab it the same way we used to grab our pantyhose as we put them on, which is for you ladies. I'll grab the sheet with one hand, then the other, and so on, until I can pull it taut and remove all the wrinkles. If the sheets are particularly bad, I have to literally strip the bed to make it look at least half-made. They were inexpensive, proving the old adage that "you get what you pay for. " I'm not returning them, but I'm on the lookout for other sheets, and these could serve as a backup set in the event of an emergency.
When these sheets arrive, they feel soft, and they continue to feel soft after the first laundering. Putting the new sheets on the bed was a lot of fun. Then there were the issues. Because the sheets are so thin, the bottom sheet cannot possibly stay flat, resulting in a wrinkled bed all of the time, and then they began to pill. I washed them in cold water and hung them to dry on low heat, but they still pilled. There are tiny crumbs all over the place, including on the floor of the bedroom. It is not worthwhile to purchase these sheets. The term "AmazonBasics" does not imply "Amazon's Best" or even "Middle of the Road. ".
When I shook the sheets to put them in the washer, a swarm of tiny black bugs emerged. Bugs were crawling on both sheets!! I threw both of them in the washer on high heat and sprayed everything I could find on the bugs that were strewn about my laundry room.
I can feel the pills against my skin due to the roughness of the top sheet. These sheets have completely disappointed me. I should've gone with Utopia or Sweet Home Collection instead.
With a price tag of $19, these sheets appeared to be too good to be true. I decided to give them a try because I'm trying to be more frugal. Sheets of higher quality, on the other hand, can be quite costly, costing anywhere from $60 to $100. I'm just not a fan of spending that much money on something that should only cost about $20 in my opinion. But I've figured out what I needed to know. These sheets are still in my possession as a backup, but I would not recommend them to anyone, particularly those who sleep hot. They're soft to the touch and appear to be harmless, but they do reflect body heat. I thought they would be better than 100% cotton flannel set I purchased but no. Worse yet, the sheets themselves aren't particularly appealing. Not in the least. They're a semi-professional group of people. see- through a tan/taupe fabric with an obnoxious shade of tan/taupe
If there is one thing I have learned about sheets and bedding it is that 100% cotton sheets and bedding make a world of difference in how well I s If you have a hot sleeper, avoid synthetic sheets and bedding. Cotton is a good investment. I had no idea what the difference was until I recently bought Target's Threshold 400 ct Performance set. I also bought a 10 100% cotton and started using a regular down comforter rather than a synthetically filled comforter. This has changed my life, and I now have a peaceful night's sleep. I used to wake up at 3 or 4 a. m. because my synthetically filled down comforter was just bunched up next to me. I can now sleep with the down comforter ON me almost every day of the year, it seems. So, if you sleep hot, avoid microfiber, but if you don't, this could be ideal.
Pinzon by Amazon is a new discovery for me, and their flannel sheets, as well as the 400 thread count, are fantastic. However, until I discovered these microfiber sheets, I had not been able to find the right combination of light weight sheets and a light blanket. Isn't it true that they're unique? Expect sheets that aren't up to par with what you'd find in a hotel. However, at night, they're unbelievably cool! I read a lot of reviews and made sure to wash them in cold water, dry them on low heat, and take them out of the dryer as soon as possible. They turned out fantastically! The sheets fit perfectly on my deep mattress, which has a gel/foam topper. They do have a slick sound to them, but it's not bothersome; it's just different. Today I'm coming to get a new set. When it's cold outside, I throw on a flannel top sheet or a blanket. For under $20 a set, you can't go wrong. Pillowcase sets in standard and king sizes are also available. br>br>12/20/21 UPDATE - I'll be back to see what else you have to offer! One set is for me, and the other is for my parents. I recently upgraded to a larger bed and replaced all of my smaller sheets (of this brand and style) with identical sets in a larger size. I've lost track of how many sets I've bought over the years, but I've never had a complaint. There are no pilling or bugs on these sheets; they are simply adorable and comfortable. (Amazon says I've bought these sheets 11 times already!.
