A sage green shade is lighter than that. A vibrant green color would be better for the celery. They seem to be quite nice rugs. They are safe to step on or wash if you don't plan to step on them. It was unfortunate that I had to unclog my washing machine and dryer from huge clumps of threading from these rugs. I was sure that someone had sheared a lamb inside! If left unattended, these rugs will eventually look tacky, matted, dingy, and in poor condition Only a few days after normal use have been completed, rugs that are many years old. Buying is a bad idea. In the presented images, there is no way the rugs could maintain the intended appearance if they are never walked on. The picture shows them in a beautiful light. Upon getting wet, they become dirty due to their cream color. These are hard to keep looking nice. I read that not washing them is the best thing to do. As I am typing this review, I just want to point out that the actual color of these rugs is taupe rather than grayish brown as seen in the image. Their beauty is astounding! My bathroom just got them and I put them in. Although it slips a bit when the 'no slip' on the back isn't as sticky as it should be, it's still much better than nothing at all. My house is updated, but older. These rugs elevate it beyond my plain memory foam rugs, giving my home a richness that it just didn't have.
