I used to place the toilet brush right back in to the holder after using it. It takes me no time to remove it. On one particular day in the summer of this year, I couldn't figure out what the smell in the bathroom was. Though we have air conditioning and fans in the bathroom, the heat and humidity of the Northeast have made it extremely uncomfortable this summer. However, it was the brush holder, not the brush, with which we were having a problem. My clean-aholic nature left me mortified since I am overly neat when it comes to housekeeping. Eventually, I ordered a new one and threw away the old It was now time to let the brush dry, over the bathroom sink, and then put it in the box. In the next step, I clean My drip tray portion is also cleaned to the best of my ability. Despite the fact that OXO make the best set to use for this purpose, I still prefer it.
This brush is one of two I have had for a number of Both the brush and the holder have begun to rust. I am not sure if it was the brush or something in the holder. There was so much corrosion that my new vinyl flooring soaked up rusty water. I want to replace them with something that will hopefully
A medium stiffness can be seen in the bristles Although it is effective, it still has some give. I think it is an excellent
This brush looks pretty and is perfect for cleaning under the rim because the upper bristles are stiff.

The OXO Grips Hideaway Compact Toilet Brushes I purchased a while back are still in my possession. There's nothing less elegant than a compact brush that hides away nicely. With the open/close function, you can easily switch between the two modes - The brush can be balanced back into its cradle without having to be balanced again. Despite being stiff, the bristles on the brush are not hard. It is easy to clean with bristles that don't apply As a result of the shape of the brush, you can clean under the rim The following feature is great Brushes that can be exchanged. Saving the environment as well as saving money is a plus.
I don't understand some of the criticism, such as the brush "unscrewing easily" as well as "flooding" after cleaning or problems with removing My experience has been as follows * 1 . Cleaning the brush head is not easy, and it certainly won't come off easily. In the days after receiving the brush, I tested the adherence of the bristles to the pole. I had to use a lot of strength to get it off so I did not want to bother my students! The best advice I can give is to use the brush just once before trying to get it off Replacing it with a less tight screw is best. You cannot wash the brush head off when it is normal. Please see 2. There is a reason why flooding is an issue. It is obvious that the brush is Usually, I shake it out (gently) and there is not much dripping left when I do so. No matter how much drips down from there, it can be contained easily. I have not had any drips or "floods" so far. By the end of the brush session, the inside of the container appears to be completely dry. 2.
3. It has nothing to do with stickers. This sticker peels off easily, just like most of the new ones. Not a single residue is left behind. It is crucial to peel from the corner in one direction while ensuring that it is not too fast. I sometimes pull multiple corners and work my way to the center of larger stickers. In the event a small amount of nail polish residue remains, remove it with nail polish remover. The GooGone method allows you to clean up oily messes without soap, but it requires a soap wash When you have used the brush for quite some time make sure to clean the toilet containers at least every once in a while. Putting away the dirty clothes isn't fun and I'd rather do something else too, but it keeps germs and odor out in the long run. When I spray vinegar or clorox into the inside while holding the container over the toilet or a container I can throw away, I can avoid the smell. Water should be used to rinse. I've done it. You can also get a new one if you have the money to spare. It may also not be very pleasant to change brushes. If you wish to avoid direct contact with the bristles, I recommend using disposable gloves. Any downsides? From a mechanical standpoint, no. It isn't terribly exciting to me, nor is it exciting to me with the color choices, but I can live with it. I hope you are well. (Oct. 27, 2018)
A year later, the toilet brush works well. There was never a moment when the brush head came The bristles on the brush are still original and look like new (see photos) in spite of heavy use in a four Obviously, this is a product of excellent quality and durability.
It was recommended by Wirecutter that I buy this toilet brush. It is not that I am a clean freak, but I am also not gross and like to sit on a clean throne. The toilets in my house are cleaned every week. Features + Looks nice!
+ Brush does a decent job scrubbing and has a nice feel and weight to it. + Hideaway base works as expected for hiding the brush, and the mechanism has not deteriorated in the last year. Base elevates the brush head, so brush head is not left sitting in its gross "juices" and actually dries as a drip (but it does not specify where the )
Con's - A small amount of water accumulates at the bottom of the base and does not Even if you clean it every time you use the brush, this is still pretty gross. (Usually I shake out the brush after using and cleaning it, so maybe I need to leave it in the toilet seat for a bit before it's dried. ) - There is a leak in the base. There is a dark ring of gunk left around the base as a result. If you choose the wrong toilet cleaner, the drippings may stain your floors (which I fully understand is a reaction to mine) or if the base lodges behind the toilet and against the walls/molding, it may wet the walls and stain your molding. I like the overall look and the function of the set, and at first I was very happy with the product. It is a big deal, though, that the base was leaked There's no break. While I search for a replacement, I keep these little guys away from my walls and on top of a folded up washcloth.
Revised and edited. During the past few decades, I have spent a few dollars on a toilet cleaning brush and holder, but never given it much thought. A lot of times I needed to do this. The following is what I observed over the past 10 years The reason that the metal used in the brush that holds the bristles to the handle rusts out so fast may also have to do with the holders I have been buying which have minimal methods for quickly drying out. This increases the speed with which the rust takes place. . . . and this Oxo toilet brush is really great. It conceals the toothbrush while it is seated in its holder, which I think is very nice. The brush easily slides out from the holder and remains open for a few moments while awaiting the brushes return, and then closes very easily holding the brush firmly in place. Unlike the inexpensive brushes I have previously purchased, the brush bristles do not appear to be held together with metal. As if they were coming out of the bottom of an industrial brush, they protrude from the thick plastic handle. The base appears to also do a very good job of eliminating any residual water. It's nice that the water in the base "dries out fast" so bacterial growth can't be optimal. am very pleased with the quality of this toilet brush already. It is well built, and I believe that it will last me for a long time. Nevertheless, I will update this post if anything happens that changes my opinion of this product. EDIT An earlier review pointed out that this toilet brush had replacement brushes available. 5/12/14 I noticed that another reviewer mentioned a replacement brush head. In my opinion, this was a tremendous bonus I had not noticed before. A new brush head can easily be screwed right on after the brush head is unscrewed. Here on Amazon you can purchase the heads. I really like it. The seventh day of the year is July 21st, 2015 I am extremely happy with the performance of both units. It is not necessary to report any problems. I appreciate you taking the time to read.
