Last year, when the renovation began, I purchased four mirrors. It's only now that they're being hung. The following are the technical requirements: br>br>1) Kelvin Spectrum is a personal preference. People prefer warm white for the most part, because when a certain color mirror arrives, it becomes psychedelic almost instantly. To even consider hanging that creation, I had to change the LED strip to warm white. Which brings me to the second point. br>br>2) The producer should give customers the option of choosing between Kelvin and Lumens. It's a little too bright right now. br>br>3) I had to remove the back panel to replace the LED strip (which was changed to warm white). I came across some rather shoddy work. 4) Hanging: br>br> This is a different subject, and I used a laser level to align two mirrors side by side. When I hung them up, they appeared to be leveled in every way except one. The level appears to be missing from the hanging holes on the back panel. Unleveled holes were punched in the back of a $400 mirror. br>br>5) In the corners of the last mirror, there are blemishes and there is no mirror dust. I'll see what I can do. br>br>Note to Producer: br>br> Please improve your quality assurance. Buyers should be aware of the following: br>br> Before making a purchase, go to Krugg's website. This is a deal breaker because it's far too hot. I was really hoping to fall in love with this mirror and feature it on my YouTube channel. Instead, I'll have to buy a new one from a different manufacturer. My thousand-dollar birthday gift was a complete waste! The heat makes it impossible to get dressed or put on makeup. My bathroom does not have a window, and with a 60-inch mirror reflecting heat, it is extremely hot. I had the fan on, but I couldn't figure out where the heat was coming from for the life of me. Unfortunately, I took too long to get the electrician here to hang it, and it is now past its due date. I was renovating the bathroom at the time, and the mirror was the last thing I finished. Now I'm going to put it up on offerup and see if I can sell it. Fingers crossed that this mirror is available in a non-heated version from a different manufacturer. You have no idea how disappointed I am. It is not possible to disable it. LEDs are supposed to be cool.
The mirror was in perfect condition when it arrived. I followed the instructions for installation (watched the Youtube video), flipped the power back on, and the mirror would not work. br>br> After several failed attempts to check my connections at the wall junction box, I decided to access the back electronics (rather than go through the agony of returning this item to the seller) and discovered that the white neutral wire was loose, flapping around inside, and had never been screwed down in the terminal block. The black hot wire was barely connecting, stuck beneath the loose terminal screw. perilous! Only the ground wire was properly fastened out of all the wires in the back of this thing, including the LED driver and heater; I went over everything and double-checked connections. After I finished the repair, I closed it up, reinstalled it, and voila! It works! br>br>It's just infuriating that something this expensive would have such poor workmanship. It allegedly passed "quality control" as well! Everything is there, including a sticker on the back! This kind of thing causes houses to burn down. Only time will tell how long this thing lasts, but it certainly left a sour taste in my mouth at first.
Before deciding that this was a good deal, I examined every lighted mirror. The condition of both mirrors was excellent when they arrived. On full power, the light is VERY BRIGHT, which is ideal for applying makeup. It's simple to operate the power switch/dimmer. This light is intended to be used to view yourself in "natural" light, not as the only source of illumination in the room. They're a lovely, high-end addition to my new bathroom!.
This lighted mirror would improve the appearance of any bathroom (or room, for that matter) if all of the work was completed correctly. Be warned: when mounting the four self-provided screws that hold this beautiful beast up on the wall, there is ZERO room for error. The templates (which consisted of four strips of paper of two lengths to account for horizontal and vertical orientation) were not precisely measured. They were off by 1/4" (6 mm), which for this installation could have been a country mile. Using a roll of wrapping paper as a template, I created my own. Use dry wall anchors that can support at least 50 lbs per anchor if you are not hitting studs on both ends of a dry wall (which will never happen in an American home because this was most likely not made in America and 16" studs were not part of the equation). If you don't, you'll come home one day to find your beautiful mirror lying face down (in about 27,000 pieces) on your bathroom floor, having destroyed everything in its path. When the LED light is turned on, my mirror has a few flaws in the glass that glow like dead (white) pixels on a black TV screen. However, I didn't find it to be a deal breaker.
I had a minor issue with their product, but they stood behind it. The mirror's touch-on/off switch had shifted. The vendor had nothing to do with this. It happened as a result of the ship's tremors. After contacting the vendor, they provided me with advice and were extremely pleasant; it was a minor issue to address and resolve. The lighted mirror is one of our favorites. It's very elegant and adds a touch of elegance to our home.
There are two issues here: It is extremely difficult to install, and there is no room for error. It has to do with the mounting system's construction. LEDs don't have a lot of light output. Mirrors and Marble is a great place to get mirrors. br>br> Installation was simple, and the result was significantly brighter.
This is the last mirror I'll ever buy. This is the third time I've bought this mirror, and each time it has arrived completely shattered. The box is badly damaged when it arrives. Amazon needs to figure out how to ship large, fragile items like this because it's costly to have them break every time they arrive.
