This is not the case. There is a black plug hanging from the bottom of the mirror, as can be seen in the photos. My current use for this mirror is as a bedroom mirror, as I wanted a very large circle mirror for a makeshift vanity. I also like the fact that it On the other hand, the two blue light buttons at the bottom are incredibly bright at night. As I cannot sleep without covering them, I must do something to keep them warm. *Nevertheless, it is a good mirror in the end. If you don't mind the bright blue light buttons, this would be much better suited to a bathroom rather than a bedroom. I thought the LED light would be softer but it has turned out to be quite pretty.

It so happened that the mirror arrived within two or three I liked how it was packaged. Upon first glance, it looks very nice, but it did not come with any instructions on how to operate it or mount it, but it did come with white gloves for that purpose. There is no way to switch it on or off outside of the mirror it can only be turned on & off from the mirror. It is necessary to build the mirror off-the-shelf because the electronic components on the back of the mirror are thicker than the mirror itself. In the - It will not hang plumb if you don't allow for about 3/16" clearance between them and the wall. would've been preferable if the plug on the cord end had been a right angle plug, but instead it is a standard plug. To connect the device, either use a recessed or "Clock" outlet, or cut off and wire it. The light is definitely not bright enough to light up the entire bathroom or, for that matter, any room. You can leave it on all night to use as a night light. Most likely I'll send it back to you.

The mirror was really nice, it's quite cheap for what you're getting, and it looked nice. It was very difficult to use because the touch buttons were all I am a contractor, and I have a laser worth almost $1000 that was used to set up the holes. A spirit level was then used to verify they were level. It would have been necessary to twist the mirror up two positions in order to reach those buttons, which were so far away. The leveling needs to be done by 5 inches. I ended up ordering the camera from another, more established brand which was twice the price, but I was pleasantly surprised by the alignment of the buttons and the quality of the build.

It's not bright at all, but it's enough light to see by, more like a secondary light than a primary one. If it were a make-up mirror, it would be horrible, but if it were a bathroom light that, like my mom, was on all the time, it would be perfect.

I bought two of them for my newly renovated bathroom and I'm very pleased with their appearance. It's great to be in the light! It is a little too bright at night because of the blue lights. The light from the bathroom shines into the room, so I have to close the door. A great way to steer clear of sconces with a very modern feel overall.
